Dark Souls 2 Release Window Revealed

Namco Bandai has confirmed that Dark Souls 2 will be released in March 2014, though a specific date hasn't been announced.

The company decided to reveal the release window after it was proclaimed on a banner advert spotted outside the LA Convention Centre where E3 will take place next week.

Announced last December, Dark Souls 2 initially raised eyebrows after the game's director revealed that the title would be more "approachable" and "straightforward". Most fans were hoping for an experience just as punishing as the one found in the previous games.

While today's news is disappointing, we did hear previously that the game may not be out before 2014. Additionally, Hidetaka Miyazaki, the man who directed the first two games in the series, is hard at work on a brand new title though little is known about just what this could be.

Great line-up , let's hope FABLE IV won't s*ck like III did , it better be like the first or the second one . Banjoo and Kazooie should return to the n64 roots . And is that DE3D Rising there !? It's going to be an exclusive huh !?

I'll probably replay the first three fables, realize how shit the last one was and how disappointing the first two were on the first playthroughs and tell myself I'm not getting this one.

But I know when it comes right down to it I'll get it no matter how shitty it looks or how "innovative" Molyneux says it will be.

The thing is with the Fable series, well, any Peter Molyneux title actually. Is that he over promises and under delivers. Its been like this since Fable 2

That's if its true of course, you know what the internet is like it could easily be fake Laughing

Fable is defo coming but Banjo is less certain even though i'd LOVE it.

IMO Fable 1 and 2 were fantastic games but Fable 3 was shite Laughing

BTW CB Molyneux has long left Lionhead and replaced by John Needham who has a lot of experience in MMO titles.

Which is why its been rumoured that the new Fable will be an MMO, nothing concrete yet though.

I'm more interested on the Hala logo on the left.

Too me, it looks like it says "Spartan Assault" Which cannot be a direct sequel to Halo 4 since that is called Halo 5.

Probably another Halo Reach type sequel.

Deus Ex? Human Revolution was one of the finest games of this generations. I cannot stress enough to how good that game was. We need another.

You would be correct as Microsoft have bought out a domain called Halo:Spartan Assault

My guess considering 343 industries are divided into two teams of developers that they will have one game in the Reach mould exploring different storylines of the universe and one being Halo 5 with the usual Master Chief stuff.

With that said i don't expect Halo 5 for a while yet.

LOL that 5 is so wonky that it was hard to catch it when the original Halo logo was more overly placed.

343 will definitely be Halo 5, as we can see maybe Bungie pull a Kojima possibly head the "Spartan Assault" project?

Nonetheless I hope its not just a cheap-rip off to sell the Spartan story cause ODST and Reach had incredibly boring stories.

Hopefully they are going to blow the E3. Can't wait for them to show the console.

Molyneux is gone? Damn his name is synonymous with Fable. I'm not sure whether that is a good thing or bad though. He certainly had good ideas and Fable 1 and 2, although not quite what he hyped them up to be, were fantastic games. 3 was shit though as you said.

Fable IV being an MMO though :facepalm:

maybe I won't get it after all. But I guess we'll see.

It might be but i don't expect it and if it is then it will be a CGI trailer at best.

According to Microsoft they have 28 studios working on different projects for Xbone and 15 exclusives in the first year. Not to mention Rare are working on 3 projects alone.

They really should leave Halo and Gears alone for a while( considering the latest editions have both been released in the last 8 months) and market the f*ck out of everything else.

I wouldn't be surprised if they released some sort of Halo 2 HD remake like they did with the original a year before Halo 4 though.

I hold hope Banjo will be there though or some sort of brilliant past Rare title.

As long as its not Killer Instinct, there's two genres i find extremely meh.

1. Fighting games
