How will/should Atleti rebuild?

Why do you think all these players have been going/are linked with City, PSG, Monaco, etc etc? CL and cash.

Unless you're going to argue that PSG is a bigger club than Milan? City a bigger club than Arsenal? Monaco a bigger club than Atletico/Porto?

Obviously most players are driven by money. But I was talking specifically about Suarez. He doesn't seem driven by money, and he has done nothing so far in his career to prove otherwise. And I don't know if you guys know this, but Suarez is a childhood Pool fan, he's living his dream life. Obviously he still wants to win and have a successful career so that could prove to be Pools demise eventually in keeping him.

And also something that people overlook is that WHOLE lot of money CAN buy prestige. City, Cheslea, and PSG are up there with the likes of Madrid,Bayern, United and Barca now because, although they might not have had the greatest history or the biggest fan-base, the amount of money they have is a strong pull for anyone. Not only because players think they'll get a fat paycheck but also because they know the amount of money the club has can turn them into a dynasty. It's a win-win for them.

Atleti or Malaga, Shakhtar, having 70m to spend doesn't make the club uber rich. That much money doesn't buy stability as a top club, having a billionaire owner does. There is your difference.

They are quietly assembling a great team, Gameiro, Gaitan, Vrsaljko, Jota, they're also apparently interested in Biglia as well

Gameiro and Gaitan are good signing. But who the hell is Jota? And Vrsaljko is overrated to all hell. Please if we're going to make fun of United and Juve for signing even better players than that, then Atelti should not be praised for signing no namers and acting like they are good signings.

Make fun of them signing Jota because some football plebs like you don't know him?
