Juventus eye move for AC Milan’s Bonera
Juventus are reportedly contemplating making an offer for AC Milan defender Daniele Bonera.
The 31-year-old has enjoyed something of a run in the Rossoneri side this season, but is out of contract in the summer thus alerting the Bianconeri.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are thinking about moving for the centre-back on a free transfer, similar to the deal done with Andrea Pirlo.
However it is thought that if he did move to the Juventus Stadium he would merely act as cover for regular defenders, Leonardo Bonucci, Andrea Barzagli and Giorgio Chiellini.
Bonera has made 17 appearances for Milan this season.

I don't even want him as cover. But maybe the management think he can do the business in a back 3.
I'd rather put Pogba in Vidals place and play Vidal in the back 3 if we absolutely had to.

Dammit u can't take Bonera from us he is finally becoming a good defender, so versatile, and plays at a low wage as well. This is Thiago Silva's sale all over again, how will i sleep knowing he is wearing that dreadful black and white strip... ooh the shame.

Daniele still has some presence as a Senatore in our locker room along with Ambro and Yepes
Would be preferable if he can stay (cant believe im saying this) for another year

We have very talented defeners like Masi and Sorensen plus Marrone is a good back up.We don't need a old player like Bonera,he may end up like Lucio...

Masi will not be at Juve next season. He was not even featuring regularly in Serie B. He needs at least one whole season in Serie A before we considering bringing him to Juve. Sorensen is also still young and would benefit from more time at Bologna. CBs take time to become great. Look at Bonucci. He was 23 when he came to Juve and he was still raw and needed time to develop. People used to complain about him all the time on the board. Now everyone loves him.
And Marrone is either going on loan to develop as a CM or he might be used in a transfer. His future is not at CB. It makes no sense for his development to keep him on the team as the reserve CB.
There is no point in bringing players like Masi or Sorensen back to Juve only to have them sit on the bench as the backups to Barzagli, Chiellini, and Bonucci. To bring in an experienced player like Bonera on a free transfer would be a great move at virtually no cost. We would be lucky to have such an experienced player as a reserve. And don't compare him to Lucio. He was 34 when he joined Juve and, for whatever reason, thought he was going to start. Bonera knows his role if he joined this team.
I would definitely prefer a big name in attack to start the transfer season, but there would be nothing wrong with signing a good backup CB on a Bosman early in the window.
