Has Mourinho been successful at Real Madrid?
I wrote a long article regarding Mourinho and whether he's been successful at Madrid. Would appreciate any input/feedback/criticism/

No I'm joking of course, he did well. He improved the team but I think that La Decima was the main objective for both parties when he was hired and as close as he was he failed to deliver it.
I'll read the articles when I get a chance

Lol, it sums it up. He wasn't a flop but if his main objective wasn't met then I wouldn't call it a complete success_LMG_10_ wrote:barca 2011 wrote:No I'm joking of course, he did well. CDR isn't a top trophy to me. The only two that really count are La Liga and CL. Madrid has won 11 La Liga and 3 CL and last 26 years. That's a little better than one every 2 years. Mou won one in three years. Our overall play was actually better with Pelle in terms of style of play... only success is his clasico record.

I hope Falcão lights it up the way he usually does for a cup final.windkick wrote:the troll face will be on if he manages to have Real lose to Atleti for the first time in like 9 years in a cup final at home

Thanks. I knew there was a discussion on this already, just couldn't find it.

Yes,
if his goal was to destroy honor of Madrid.

Re: Has Mourinho been successful at Real Madrid?
No, he has failed. He was hired to end with Barça's dominance and to win more titles than Madrid previous rate in recent years. He couldn't do any of those. He won a league and a Cup in three seasons (a Cup pending), nothing extraordinary considering Schuster won a league in 2 seasons and Capello a league in one year.
He couldn't end Barça dominance as they won a CL whil he was there and 2 leagues.
Possibly the first time in Mou's career where he has truly failed.

Re: Has Mourinho been successful at Real Madrid?
There's too much of Extremism here.
Its not just Success or Failure. Mourinho's time cant be called as a success, but 3 UCL Semis appearances - after 6 straight years of Rd. of 16 exits, NOT A FAILURE.
Best way to term it is has UNDER ACHIEVED.
