Mourinho is Changing Real Madrid
http://www.marca.com/2011/06/27/futbol/equipos/real_madrid/1309154668.html
"mourinho is inventing a new madrid"
according to the article mourinho ever since he came here, knew that to succeed here, he couldnt just try to coach them into a cl, he had to change the whole structure of the club. he has already begun doing so saying, "real madrid is a sleeping giant, with its structure it wont get anywhere"
mourinho was not only brought here to bring us titles, but to help the structure of real madrid to become a coherent one, and to erase the "galactico effect" he wants to bring back the leadership and command role of the coach, which never should have left. and what a better man than him?
according to the article the first things hes been working on is the department of analyzing youth, transfer polices, scouting, and the cantera.
ive been saying it for a long time, he cant succeed here, without making us a real "club" again, and he knows it.
hes our cryuff.
cryuff helped barcelona into what they are today, while mou wants to help us go into what we once were and further.

Re: Mourinho is Changing Real Madrid
I've been saying this - this is a very important change. We were initially the club with the youth and Barcelona the club who bought their players together until the first Galacticos era. We were squandering away our legacy in the last decade, while some easy changes could be made to reform the club.
I didn't expect Mourinho would be the one to initiate it. I think Madrid is his magnus opus then. Splendid, splendid.

Re: Mourinho is Changing Real Madrid
i have always been saying it, this is why cryuff hates mourinho, because of different ideals, and he wants to make real madrid the perfect antidote to barca, by stopping them, and creating a way of playing football to stop them.
i think his plans are big, but i cant agree with you on the barca used to buy players thing, thats true up until the late 80s
for those who dont know cryuff, who is the most important part of barcas philosphy today, basically helped mold the canteras of ajax and barca which are the best in the world with names like
robben, sneijder, the barca squad and many else including himself coming from there.
mou knows he needs to change things and he will.
i think valdano's leaving was imminent and the perfect sign that i atleast was right about what he wanted to do.
WE ARE THE ANTI-BARCA MUAHAHAHA

Ronaldo, Koeman, Romario, Laudrup, Stoichkov, Figo, Rivaldo, Reiziger, De Boer, Kluivert, Cocu, Luis Enrique etc. were all part of their big players of the 90ies and none were Barcelona youth products.
Barcelona was very much a buying club, save some exceptions, in the 90ies.
Also, Robben never played for Ajax.

as i said, their cantera has grown and so has their football philosphy, now to counter that we are gonna have to fight fire with fire...Guiltybystander wrote:Ronaldo, Koeman, Romario, Laudrup, Stoichkov, Figo, Rivaldo, Reiziger, De Boer, Kluivert, Cocu, Luis Enrique etc. were all part of their big players of the 90ies and none were Barcelona youth products.

I agree with you - I doubt Aguero and Neymar are coming. They are unneeded.
Maaaaybe Neymar, but I doubt it.
I've been saying that Mourinho wants honour with a somewhat selfmade team, he isn't going to buy together his team. His trophy wouldn't be worth much imo. This is a bigger project.

It was clear when he signed Varane...

Re: Mourinho is Changing Real Madrid
yep
with porto he basically showed he was a good coach
chelsea you could see he wanted to build a team that could last along time, but with not enough of a sustaining philospohy
inter again he showed he could go and produce
real madrid now he will have to show much more.
we do have alot of defenders though and he will have to decide who leaves and goes.
apperently varane will play with us, instead of going on loan?

He is basically saying that Mourinho signed a player that he will develop and use in the future. If Mourinho was leaving he would not care about Varane (future star).

In general I don't think Mourinho is THAT sly, to not buy players for RM, because RM might be his rival in the future. That is insane.

I honestly don't see Mourinho wasting time on developing a player he never intends to coach.Varane just turned 18,he is not going to play this season...If he does it will be a game or two.

how often does mourinho buy a player and then waste him?
i think he is going to play in france for one more year but he is a signing mourinho did himself.

Mou is buying him for the future not just for the sake of signing players.

To an extent, but I do genuinely think Mourinho only cares about his own glory and has no respect for the clubs he trains. And it is not like he initiated the transfer - Zidane did.
Not to say that he is leaving, I think Mou will finish his project at Madrid and will thus stay a couple more years at least.

It makes more sense if the deal was pushed by the club,it's what I initially thought...

Ozil = Success
Khedira = Success

Was Leon a Valdano or Mourinho buy or do we just throw it into the Mourinho "Mancini" bin. You know, just for him to seem a bit human...
