Buffon: 'Unequivocal Scudetto'

Gigi Buffon insists Juventus will confirm themselves champions of Italy in an “unequivocal” manner.

The giants need only one point to mathematically clinch the second consecutive Serie A title and hope to spark the party on Sunday against Palermo.

“This season we started out as favourites, while last year we were very motivated, but winning was still a great achievement,” said the goalkeeper.

“It wasn’t easy to confirm ourselves, but we are winning this Scudetto unequivocally, seeing as we were top of the table from start to finish.

“Antonio Conte? He is the right man for Juventus and he proved it.”

Buffon was speaking at the presentation of teammate Andrea Pirlo’s autobiography.

“Pirlo could definitely be a Coach in future. Over the past two years he has been our extra man.”
