Cabaye did an interview on RMC today.
Q: Do you plan on staying at Newcastle?
A: For the moment, yes. let's finish the season and get to vacation. As far as a transfer, i have an agent who will handle that.
Looks like he's gone.

No it doesn't, Atleti need to replace a goalscorer, not someone that scores off 1 goal every 9 shots. #SuarezIsNotClinicalZealous wrote:sportsczy wrote:Actually he might be going to Atleti. They have 60 mil coming their way and are in CL... they typically sell a WC striker when they have another one lined up or in the works. Torres-Forlan- Aguero-Falcao-Suarez?
Fits their formula very well.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread
i really dont see atletico using that money to sign someone like Suarez with little resale potential. Specially after reading all that 3rd party owenership stuff, unless Suarez is owned by a third party as well lol. Atletico paid 20 mil for Falcao of their own pocket and defaulted on the first payment, surely they have a debt they can reduce with that cash.

Barcelona goalkeeper, Victor Valdes will reportedly leave the club this summer, despite top officials insisting that they wish to keep the La Masia graduate until his contract expires in June 2014.
According to Barcelona-based, Radio Barcelona, Valdes will, in fact, leave the club this summer as he wishes to “get to know other cultures, other leagues.”

Zealous wrote:Yohan Modric wrote:Suarez is already a developed player. He wants a big step up from Liverpool I guess. Atletico wouldn't be that.
Aguero was developed at Atletico and Forlan became prominent at Atletico. Falcao wasn't proven enough and popular for a big club to attract him I guess when he was at Porto.
Players want money first and foremost. Atleti pay their star strikers top dollar and can semi-guarantee champions league football.
They also have a good reputation of not blocking moves when a big offer comes in. Players like Falcao like that because they know if they play well with Atleti then moving on a year or two later to a bigger club will not be difficult.
It's not like Suarez is underpaid with Liverpool. He's up there with our top earners, and we have a much more sustainable business model at the moment than Atleti. If he were to move there, it would be to get out of England, not for wages, but I think he'd have more appetizing offers than them if he wanted to leave.

Valdes got a big gut in that picture. No wonder he sucks.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread
How can Atleti possibly afford Suarez? After reading that other thread about 3rd party ownership, it looks like most of the money from the Falcao sale will be going to the company and not Atleti.

Benitez 'would listen' to Italy offers
By Football Italia staff
Despite his poor spell at Inter, Rafa Benitez’s agent assures “we’ll take offers from Italy into consideration” after rumours of Roma and Napoli interest.
The interim manager is set to leave Chelsea at the end of the season, most likely to be replaced by Jose Mourinho.
There are reports today that Roma and Napoli have Benitez in their list of candidates for the bench next term.
“At the moment I have not received any offers from Italy, as Rafa is concentrated only on the Europa League,” agent Manuel Garcia Quilon told Calciomercato.it.
“If any interesting offers were to come in, then we would take them into consideration.”
Benitez spent six months at Inter in 2010, winning the Club World Cup but running into numerous problems with players and directors.
He left the Nerazzurri by mutual consent in December 2010 and took over from Roberto Di Matteo at Chelsea in November 2012.
Roma are considering the future, as interim Coach Aurelio Andreazzoli took over from Zdenek Zeman in February.
Napoli are waiting for Walter Mazzarri to make a decision on whether he’ll stay at the Stadio San Paolo, but there were also reports today they have approached Marcelo Bielsa.

Nope. 1. this is the rumour section, 2. the info is from some Brazil guy who claims to be in the know, 3. Bayern already strongly denied any truth in the claim, 4. these look more like statements put out to raise Neymar's price in general.Messiah "Aggerswagger" wrote:Neymar to Bayern Is it official??

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Thread
I really hope Neymar doesn't come to Bayern. Ribery, Goetze, Mueller, Kroos, Robben and Shaqiri already play in the positions he would be used in. Secondly, he is tearing up the Brazilian League and when I have seen him play for Brazil I haven't been all that impressed. He can go to Barca where there is less competition.

Apparently Dortmund's Blasczczykowski had a release clause of just 15mio in his contract but according to Polish media he will extend his contract till 2018 and remove the release clause. Rejected Juventus and Manchester City already.

Also according to 'A Bola': A delegation of Borussia Dortmund, formed by coach Jurgen Klopp, the sporting director Michael Zorc and the general manager Hans-Joachim Watzke, were last Saturday in Portugal to watch the game between FC Porto and Benfica, and have a close look at Mangala and J. Martínez.

Thiago Alcantara is on the market
according to Mundo Deportivo, he has been made available by barca as they are willing to listen to offers starting at 25 millions.
Barca are making a commitment on Cesc and planning to remodel their midfield which would limit the opportunities for Thiago to play. Iniesta will stick in midfield and real forwards like neymar are coming
They dont want to see the player stall his development so they are willing to listen to offers, maybe even loans opportunities.
Next Xavi
