Diego( former player) Empty Diego( former player)

Does it sort of annoy anyone else that we had a sick player on our hands who apparently " flopped" i actually thought he played well when he was here and it wasn't his fault we finished 7th. and i think we bought in martinez from catania as his replacement if im not wrong . i don't buy into the fact we sold him because he didn't suit the new "system" surely he would have done better then scrubs like martinez. Maybe something went on behind the scenes or he just wanted out because he couldn't handle the pressure either way he was a sick player and i was pretty annoyed we let him go. same with felipe melo he was a sick player but his situation is more understandable because he wouldn't be willing to sit on the bench but if he is willing to be rotated in the squad i would have him back too i think we still own him Thumbs up

so hypothetically you wouldn't have f.melo back at the club in a rotational squad type role?

JUVENTUS did not really build a strong side around SERIE B legends because they were close to finish their career...

We made too many transfers that I consider short term solutions what became a problem because of contracts such as GRYGERA, MOLINARO, GROSSO, POULSEN...

MARCHISIO did not have enough experience those days, some players such as IAQUINTA, SISSOKO, CAMORANESI were most of the times injuriy...

NEITHER CONTE, MOURINHO, MESSI, could possible help there...

I don't believe Brazilians were part of the new project they were only a bridge to get to this new path, they were supposed to keep the club on the top 4...

Just think about it, who the hell wants to have 30 years old AMAURI and FELIPE MELO on starting XI??

Brazilians, Krasic, Martinez, all of them were short term solutions, only to keep JUVENTUS on top 4 what they could not manage to do...

I wonder how can you think about DIEGO because I think JUVENTUS plan to bring much better player such as IBRAHIMOVIC who helps you win a triple not an EUROPA LEAGUE place...

As things stand he will stay at Wolfsburg until 2014 when his contract runs out. Wolfsburg decided they'd rather keep him and possibly lose him on a free transfer than selling him in this summer. So you might consider going for him next year for free. ^^

2. Zaccheroni and Del Neri. He had a good start of the season, but faded out because he was relied on to do evrrything himself because Camoranesi was constantly injured, Giovinco wasnt given a chance, Del Piero was benched for some reason, and Amauri and Oaquinta were crap. At one point in the season though we switched to a 4-2-3-1, with Diego supported on the wings by Camo and Gio, and we did alot better. Then he did excellent in the preseason of 10/11, but for some reason we sold him. Always thought he was an excellent player though. Would really help us if he was still with us, cuz his passing and creativity are excellent, so we could rest Pirlo alot more and play a 3-4-1-2 when Diego would start.

For me Diego is a player that always looks better than he really is...always did nice tricks and flicks but with little end product...he fell over a lot and his finishing was poor...he is however a very likeable player with world class dribbling just not the standard of player we require! Hernanes is definitely a different calibre of player to Diego...shame we went for the wrong player!

There is a reason he rarely, if ever, is selected for the national team.

Personally I wouldn't have sold him.

I agree the way he plays makes him look a bit better than he actually is but with a 4-2-3-1 we could have had Diego, Del Piero, Quagliarella pre-injury and Krasic.

Our full-backs were terrible but I think we would have made top 4 in the 2010/11 season

-----------------------storari-------------------
Motta*---------Bonucci-------Chiellini---Grosso
-----------------Melo---------Marchisio---------
-----Krasic------------Diego-----------Pepe-----
-------------------Quag/ADP---------------------

* I chose Motta purely because that's who we gambled on back then.

With that line-up I reckon we wouldn't have crashed so badly in the 2nd half of the 2010/11 season.
