In the group stages we didn't have a LB and Sami, Cristiano was unhappy ... I'm sure we can progress.

Not quite though, because mostly he has Lewandowski in front of him, but yeah, it absolutely is his duty to score as well, that part I agree with. But his finishing isn't actually bad, it just was against Malaga. Most of the time he's pretty good in 1v1 and has the odd tap-in too. Just doesn't have Kroos-level shot power for distance shots though, but then again, who has.

exactly, at least i'm not the only one who thought his finishing shouldn't be blown out of proportion. when he actually tries to place it, he does it well. u could see that in two 1on1s he would slot it into the bottom corner. but their keeper figured out that götze likes the far post and always kept his foot out.

that's kinda why it's more of a cleverness problem, he needs to become ice cold. if he gets that sorted out in his mind i believe we could see a rapid increase in goals from him. however, with regard to his technique he prolly needs to shoot harder and get some curve going. watching him shoot reminds me of a "tipp kick" figure.

"Every team has a 25% chance of winning this Tournament"

Talking about the other semi - "In the previous draw I was quiet because I did not care about who we would play, I had no reason to choose any team over others. therefore, I'll watch that match quietly. I won't be hoping that one will either win or lose. My hope is that it is a great game. "

"We know that many teams worry about Xabi and know his influence on our game. It's Normal that we are trying to be prepared to overcome this situation."

Pepe and Varane in CB...not the worst Very Happy

Although Im pretty sure its not normal practise for manager to annouce lineup so long b4 game time? What's Mourinho's motive here, cunning ****! Very Happy

Marca with another hyperbole special:

Football is all about circulating the ball, and the faster the better. Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid are two teams that need no reminding of this fact. Possession may be nine tenths of the law, but there is no point having the ball for the sake of it. Rather, the idea is to strike in a flash, to launch rampaging one-touch breakaways when the opposition defence is out of position. Counterattacking is the name and sucker-punching is the game.

Crouching tigers and hidden dragons, Real and Borussia lull you into a false sense of security, hiding their weapons between their teeth and pouncing when you let your guard down. Then, before you know it, the ball is in the back of your net. This is the house special at the Bernabéu and the Signal Iduna Park alike.

Not sure where Essien is. Is he suspended/injured? He wasn't in the squad list either.

Would have preferred him at RB and Ramos at CB instead of Pepe.

I don't think Dortmund has the strength of character needed to win this tie. Last season Bayern ripped Real Madrid's heart out, this time around i expect them to be unrelenting and take nothing for granted, cold and efficient.

Relying on guts and heart only gets you so far, has your team learned nothing from last 2 cl season's exit.

Well hopefully they have. But you gotta understand some fight red hot and others fight ice cold. We're the former.

Dortmund shouldn't really be underestimated. I think they're capable of playing like Bayern did yesterday and hitting us on the break. Our defending will have to be top notch and we shouldn't dwell on the ball too much.

If there were only two things we lack (and there are many), it's guts and heart. We dont have both and that's a shame.

Dortmund are quite a force currently and playing in their own backyard. Not a shed of doubt that they will come out victorious, the question is... by how many? I personally expect a least two goals margin, however it'll all depend on how the fans treat Götze after the latest announcement.
