I could go on and on for a further two years where this schmuck has done NOTHING but spew excuse after excuse whenever City get KO'd out of any tournament, but I think I made my point. Anyone else getting a little tired of little Bobby and his whining?

He really said losing Balo hurt City? Gosh Roberto, come on. Thinking about it, most managers always have an excuse just as fans have a reason why their favourite player/club is doing badly.

Sometimes, like City season, like Fred or Pato playing for Brasil, Milan v Barcelona 2nd leg, you're simply just not good enough.

His poor squad building is the reason why his squad isn't as strong as he wants...

I wonder who bought Milner, Barry and Garcia for a combined 50m?

He only has himself to blame, if he built his squad properly then he wouldn't be in this mess.

most of the guys you mentioned usually blame the referees I have never seen one complain that they need new players after spending nearly 100 every summer on scrubs

I think Rafa complained of lack of player investment but I never read him saying getting a specific player was the reason. Hell, I can't recall any of those men making such a similar statement.

We played in EL on thursday and then Chelsea away on Saturday instead of sunday because of Notting Hill Carnival.

Some of his excuses are legitimate. Man City didn't sign players who could really improve the squad, they mostly signed depth players.

In terms of the "Man Utd don't deserve to be 15 points ahead" quote, he actually said “We don’t deserve to stay 15 points behind,”.

However overall I don't think he's been good enough. Man City only just won the title last season they've flopped in Europe for 2 seasons in a row.
