Napoli could face European Ban

Napoli administrator Alessandro Formisano has revealed that the club could be barred from the Champions League next season.

A UEFA committee found 25 points that needed to be worked on at the Partenopei's Stadio San Paolo earlier this year.

And the operations director for the team has admitted that it work doesn't start soon, they could risk expulsion from Europe next term.

“At the moment, I am concerned,” he told reporters. “If the work at San Paolo does not begin by the end of this month, we risk not being able to play in the European Cup next season.”

They'll be quite well off but it's hard to improve a squad like that without any hope of CL regardless of results. I hope the players like Hamsik, Inler etc will leave too.

I remember them having Edu Vargas, El Kaddouri and that young Portugese talent (forgot his name), what ever happened to them?

All I know is when they were in the squad they got very little chance to impress. I have no idea if they're on loan somewhere or not.

Napoli just have the worst bench in Serie A. Their second team couldnt win Serie B if their lifes depended on it.

It annoys me how rarely they suffer a major first team injury as well as some minor ones. They really would suck when they needed depth.

Also, they're barely serie B top 10 standard ffs, the subs got their asses handed to them by some scrub team in Europe 5 or 6 - 0. Embarrasment.

I like Roma, but atm I trust Fiorentina more if they keep Montella. Roma is just a never ending experiment every season it seems.

Yeah but what good is money if they're not allowed in the CL for a few seasons? They're not going to attract many players and will have a battle to keep the best they have.

Best bet for them would be to buy real depth and keep in the top 5 until they have a proper stadium.

When it's full San Paolo is the best atmosphere in Italy, it would be a shame for the stadium to be gotten rid of

That said, Napoli definitely need something more modern if they want to cement themselves as a perennial top 5/6 team in Serie A

I really can't stand napoli. Moratti can bribe the officials all he wants I really don't want this team in Europe. Can't stand them top to bottom from.delaurentiis to hamsik.
