Its a rubbish myth that only Serie A fans support rival teams in Europe here(And for whatever legit reasons).Infact i see EPL fans doing it more than any others bar a few.(Lex and RG to name a few).

Makes me wonder how much more your 'support' for rival teams would be if EPL was a 3rd rate league and basically struggling for existence as a top league with little to no money.

I think teams like Arsenal/Tottenham/Liverpool/ will end up hoping for the english sides to go further and get some co-efficient points if we were 4th/5th in the uefa table. Can't deny that because it will be our 4th spot which will be gone.

City/United won't care since they usually finish top 2.

However i would still say that having 3 Spots in the CL has made Serie A teams a lot better than few years ago. The competition is better and teams like Fio/Roma/Lazio are all trying to improve to be able to compete for the 3rd spot since there is no 4th. It's better for the future really.

Because League is more important now, we have a big game against Swansea on weekend. Plus if we fail to make the CL there is only 1 EL spot this season, the other two taken by Cup teams

Our first team got destroyed at home. We are playing at the Allianz against a top 3 side in the world.

To save the CL place (4th) we have to sacrifice(however minimal) this time. Swansea away is more important on saturday

That's pretty foolish. I don't recall anyone ever playing with a second string team in a Champions League knockout fixture unless they have been in complete control of the game.

He played a second string team in the FA Cup as he wanted to focus on CL. Now he wants to focus on the UCL spot for the next season?

What next? Avoiding playing volatile players in order to not get yellow/red cards, for topping the Fair Play table after losing out on a top 4 place?
