at people who think Spurs will slide down from a top 4 team if Bale goes. Wouldn't be surprised if Spurs got better with the cash Bale would bring in. He won't go cheap. That's not to say he hasn't been fantastic and hasn't been carrying this team recently because he has, but with a world class striker, a replacement winger and Sandro being back, the team would be just as good as without Bale.

Let's not forget that even without Bale's goals, Tottenham had enough chances to put the game to bed several times over.

Bale was a one trick pony until AVB took over.

No.

He didn't need space to operate last season either. And running into space with pace was his "one trick".

His technical skill and link up play as well as delivery last season was as good as it was this season. Bale really only worked out his free kicks, long shots and shooting technique imo. Everything else was prevalent in his play before this season.

i pray every night that man city buy gareth barry . everyone is saying that they will become a better team without bale, believe me, they wont, every team that is as reliant on a player as spurs are on bale becomes worse when that player leaves, e.g man u and ronaldo, arsenal and rvp, ibra and milan, even liverpool and torres to an extent. the only team that doesnt follow this rule has been atletico madrid and aguero and thats because they have falcao .

btw, everyone talks about buying a world class striker but in my opinion outside of barca only ibra, rvp, falcao, aguero, rooney, the guy at napoli, suarez, and benezema are world class . most of these guys are already at big clubs earning big money so its highly unlikely that there will be any transfers involving them and in any case on man u, city, psg, real, barca can realistically afford the wages of any of the strikers were they to move.
