Re: Viareggio tournament 2013
First match was a cracker...we crunched the slovenian slouches 4-2. A hatrick from Lanini with Beltrame grabbing the other goal.
JUVENTUS (3-5-2): Branescu; Penna (46' Untersee), Rugani, Laursen; Ruggiero (75' Mattiello), Kabashi, Schiavone (58' Cavion), Gerbaudo, Ceria; Beltrame (58' Bonatini), Padovan (19' Lanini).
All. Baroni
The goals-
Lanini 24', 28', 40'
Beltrame 46'
Ceria's quality cross set up Lanini to head in his first strike. I think it was Ruggiero whose neat footwork in the box set-up Lanini to blast home the second from 6 yards out. And it looked like that man Ceria again, crossing in from the left to give Lanini the chance to nod in for his hatrick...And if my eyes and ears aren't misleading me, it was surely the only contender for the MOM award with Lanini, Edoardo Ceria, who swung in the corner for Beltrame's wonderful volley from the edge of the box.

Re: Viareggio tournament 2013
With the Viareggio and Nextgen, added to the league and cup, it could well be the quadruple...We look forward now to facing Avellino, this coming Wednesday, for the second of our three Viareggio group games, against Avellino. Then on Friday for the final match v A.P.I.A. LEICHHARDT of Sydney, Australia.
Re: Viareggio tournament 2013
Juventus – Avellino 2 -1
Juventus: Branescu, Untersee, Magnusson, Laursen (dal 48′ st Garcia), Tavanti ( dal 30′ st Ruggiero), Kabashi, Cavion, Gerbaudo (dal 20′ st Beltrame), Mattiello (dal 30′ st Ceria), Bonatini, Lanini. All.: Baroni
Goals- Lanini 18' and 88'.
5 goals now for Lanini, in 2 games. With group whipping boys Leichardt set to face us today, expect the prima punta to add to his tally, unless he is rested as could well be the case with qualification to the next round already assured. But...with the chance to take our foot off the gas, perhaps we will see Cevallos make his debut.

Re: Viareggio tournament 2013
Juventus 0 - 0 Liechhardt (AUS)
Branescu
Rugani( 63' Untersee) Romagna Garcia
Tavanti( Laursen) Ruggiero (68' Lanini) Cavion( 63'Kabashi) Mattielo(63' Ceria) Cevallos
Bonatini Beltrame
Beltrame was particularly lively with the best chance of the first half falling to his head via a perfect cross from debutant Cevallos. The australians threatened but Branescu and Garcia kept them at bay...Matiello provided two decent opportunities with quality crosses aimed at Bonatini and Cevallos who both failed to connect truly. Lanini, in top form throughout the tournament so far made his presence felt soon after entering the fray with a shot whistling just wide of goal. Ceria also looked likely and was thwarted at the final hurdle by the australian defence. Bonatini had the bit between his teeth and his perseverance led to a strike against the post, and then another chance save by the keeper.
Along with Torino, Inter and All Boys (Argies) we topped our group in the first section of the draw. Genoa, Parma. Anderlect and Virtus Entella all qualified as runner-ups. The second section of the tournament play their final group games today after which the draw for the next round will be made.

Re: Viareggio tournament 2013
We play Juve stabia in the next round on Tuesday of this week. Juve Stabia finished second in their group to Lazio (beat Mutual Uruguay 3-0, lost 4-3 to Lazio, beat Stella Rosso 4-0).
Re: Viareggio tournament 2013
Unfortunately, our youngsters suffered an unexpected 1-0 defeat to Juve Stabia yesterday, dumping us abruptly out of the tournament. Unsurprisingly, this wasn't a run of the mill game, with Juve finishing the match with only 9 men on the field after first Branescu, in the first half, and then Beltrame in the second period, were given their marching orders. We should have had a penalty when Beltrame was crunched in the box as well as a red card for our opponents, and Padovan missed a great chance very late on...Even with 9 men we looked more than capable of grabbing a draw if not the victory. Still, it just wasn't to be. And there is little need to be too down in the mouth, for we are striving ahead brilliantly in the league and cup and have a knockout match with Rosenborg to look forward to later this month in the next round of the NextGen series...
