Re: Moussa Sissoko
If you think he's going to replicate that every week you are in for a rude awakening lol.
He's fine when he has space to run into but most big teams won't get it as they'll face Park the bus teams every week.
Not to mention his end product is crap and trust me any team that buys him will find that out very quickly.
There's a reason that I don't give two shits if he goes and we are in the championship lol.

Re: Moussa Sissoko
I thought in the first half, it was clear he didn't belong on the field. As the game went on, he got better and his work rate was great defensively.
I'll give credit where due though, he was good tonight but I don't think he's a good player. In the right setup, he could work though

Re: Moussa Sissoko
Well Newcastle want him to carry the attack and be the attacking creative force... he's never going to be that. He was a defensive B2B at Toulouse and that's exactly his role on NT. His strengths are work rate, physical impact, speed and opportunistic attack. You use him this way and he'll be fine. He's improved his defense btw.
Not a world beater by any stretch... but a useful player to complement the better players on a good team.

We really don't lol.
Besides his final pass on the break almost always goes to the opposition.
Best way to describe him, is looks dangerous when given space but never actually is lol.

Can we talk about how he played his heart out today? Better than every French player bar maybe Lloris

Thought that was Ronaldinho for a moment. The only French player besides Lloris that showed up today.

Re: Moussa Sissoko
he played very well, ran his heart out, tried to create chances, always wanted the ball. his lack of technical know-how showed when he over-hit that pass to griezmann. could have made for a good assist. but yes he had a good game

He was my MOTM, tbh.
Watch him get linked to Chelsea over the next few days.

Couldn't believe it when Pogba screamed at him when Eder scored. It should've been the other wa round judging by their performances on the pitch

Sky Sports | Moussa Sissoko given £35m transfer price tag by Newcastle
€41m for Sissoko, I jinxed him out of a move to a bigger club
Mole, I take it that NUFC doesn't agree with your assessment of his ability.

Re: Moussa Sissoko
We asked for 35m for Andy Carroll lol, the money we want is irrelavant tbh.
We want 30m for Wijnaldum btw, also i don't question Sissoko's ability i question his ability to show it consistently because his end product and technique is bad.
He's basically a bigger and more explosive Ramires.

Said it last Friday before his MOTM worthy performance in the Final. All he needed was a Big Stage and the cameras on him
I don't really care I want him in Manchester, give him Yaya's salary and call it a day. Needs to but a transfer request in so we can get him on the cheap.

Still hoping Barca pick him up. Looks like a more effective Neymar without the tricks and the Nike endorsements and the corrupt dad
Could be a pretty good Messi replacement too now that I think about it, in case Messi ever gets sent to a federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison

Re: Moussa Sissoko
This is spot-on (though, Ramires was more consistent and better defensively). Does Sissoko have the talent to be a 35m player in the current English market... Probably. Is he anywhere near that level in his performances over the course of the season. Absolutely not! He's basically the definition of a part-time player. He's capable of being a good to very-good player in the Prem League (as his showings in the Semifinal and Final showed). However, he doesn't seem to be bothered at least 75% of the time.Great Leader Sprucenuce wrote:We asked for 35m for Andy Carroll lol, the money we want is irrelavant tbh.

In short, his performances for the National team are the very best of Sissoko, giving his all for every second he is on the pitch. However, he never seems to do that for his club.
Given the choice of 35m for Sissoko or 30m for Wijnaldum, I'd go for Wijnaldum every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Re: Moussa Sissoko
with one transfer saga coming to an end we move on to the next... as Juve and Real set to battle for Sissoko's signature. Could be an unreal saga but I imagine Real will edge them out in the end. If I;m Sissoko I move to Juve though, can't see him getting much gametime at Madrid.

That's the most hilarious line I have read today.
Re: Moussa Sissoko
Sissoko was asked to be an attacking mid at Newcastle... come on now. He was a DM and defensive B2B at Toulouse. That's what he was at NT too to help Sagna. His tackling isn't great defensively... but he does use his body great and gets in the way all the time. His best role when he attacks is to break a line and then pass the ball off to a skill player. If you're asking him to finish the plays too, then you're just deluding yourself.

Re: Moussa Sissoko
He's a transporter. His best game is to bring the ball from the deep midfield to the attack. He'd work great on a stretched game where there's no link between attack and defense. He can go all the way to the box when opportunity is given. He can dribble no problem but his passing is not very dependable and his finishing at least seems somewhat decent.
More offensive and stronger but less technically and defensively apt Matuidi.

Re: Moussa Sissoko
I would agree with that. He reminds me of a more pacey but less technically skilled Dembele. Maybe not as good defensively as well. Dembele excels at carrying the ball up the field, keeping possession, opening up space with his dribbling and then passing it off to a more effective player (he rarely gets goals or assists). Sissoko is pretty similar.
I would pay like 25 million euros for a player like Sissoko tbh...not any more though.

Re: Moussa Sissoko
Sissoko is much much much faster than Dembele and defends better when he wants... i just don't think he was very motivated at Newcastle and it showed.

That's what anyone who signs him are getting tbh. Although his finishing is not decent lol, he scored one goal despite playing almost every game for a reason.
Dembele is completely different I don't get that comparison, Dembele has good ball control and can dribble in tight spaces.
Two things you can't say about Sissoko.

Re: Moussa Sissoko
I was referring to his role as a midfielder who should be deployed in transition from defense to attack, but who shouldn't be very involved in trying to finish off moves. This is similar to Dembele, who's most valued role in midfield consists of the transition from defense to attack and holding the ball. As said, I think both are pretty decent at taking the ball and drawing players in and then passing it off too. Albeit in very different ways.
Obviously their skill set itself is not similar, but they should be deployed in similar roles, I think.

Agree. He is a less lacksadaisical and more water-carrier-like Muntari
