On tuesday morning the cooperation between Manchester United and David Moyes was brought to an end after a season marked by poor performances. Instead, Ryan Giggs has been put in place, at first, as a temporary solution for the remainder of the season. Much has been said and written about Moyes afterwards.

As a Manchester United player and especially as a Manchester United fan it has been a frustrating period for several reasons. The media in England have run stories without any grasp of reality about how horrible the situation should've been under the old manager - simply because it's not true.

The tone has been anything but acceptable towards both David Moyes and Manchester United. In my eyes the reality is simple - the results have not been sufficient and that has affected the cooperation.

For me there's nothing more to it than that. David Moyes is a good man and whatever one may think of him, he deserves the same kind of respect now as he did eight months ago.

Instead, ​​Ryan Giggs has been hired as a temporary solution for the remaining games of the season. Some might question whether it can work going from being a teammate into being the manager from one day to the next. Normally, I would have my reservations, but in Giggs' case it's another matter.

Ryan Giggs has always held a sort of professional distance to his teammates. He opened his mouth when it was relevant and people have always listened. What we have seen the first week has been more than convincing. The parallels with Sir Alex Ferguson is striking and it is clear that Ryan Giggs has been learning from history's most awe-inspiring football manager. His last speech before the team went on the pitch for the match against Norwich was terrifying(chilling) in a way that I've only experienced from Sir Alex Ferguson - "do not disappoint the audience!"

It probably sounds rather naive and impetuous and I understand peoples skepticism about any conclusion drawn in the light of four trainings, a match and a day off, but to me that we are dealing with a new Guardiola.

The question is whether he's already able to realize the enormous potential he possesses. Fortunately, it's 100 percent the club's decision and not mine to make. And whatever the club decides, I'm sure that everyone in and around the team will respect it.

Its true however that he lacks a certain coach's aura. Only time will tell. First perhaps its better he leave for smaller teams in the premier league and take up their jobs like Solksjaer.
Certainly he wont be the one succeeding lvg. If he is to be a manager here that will only happen after a stint of another manager, pep hopefully
