Who was the better player at their best?

I have never rated Beckham as a top top footballer (as in top 20 in the world)..Giggs is another story (his personal life aside). Even in the 1999 season, I always felt that Giggs has more to offer than Beckham, which is more or less confined to his crosses, corners and freekicks

Giggs is the better player and more technically gifted, but Becks has his own qualities too. He is the better crosser, free kick taker, long passer etc..

Giggsy can create more with his one on one ability, and his crossing isn't to bad either, beckham was never known for his ability to beat a player one on one, so to me giggs is more of a threat.

Becks crosses and free kicks are still world class to this day tho
