+1, at last someone recognize the talent of Mr. Vizcarrondo. He has been our best defender for a while now.

Oh, Forlan is majorly overrated. But Luis Suarez is a GOD.

And, you may laugh, but I actually think he is better than Messi and CR.

The first since August.

He just came back from a 6-week injury.

What the F*** did you expect?

Then why is the coach starting him? And why is Pato a target man lmao

About the worse bit of coaching I've seen from a team of this caliber since Maradona in the World Cup Qualifying

then what was he doing out there? we have the right to criticize, calm down, today he sucked, but he can do better

Guys, I agree. But do you wanna know why he started? Because we don't have a number 10. He's the one, he's our future, all our hopes are on him. We've tried several others, no success. He's a unique player. But he's human, he is not 100%, that is all I'm saying. Who would he have started then? Lucas, 18 years old, even more unexperienced.

He moved and intercepted godly, though. It's weird, he robs the ball, leaves behind two players then does not know what to do! Total ball hog.

Our attack took a shit once Rondón and Fedor were subbed, but I understood the changes. Ecuador and Paraguay are somewhat more beatable than Brazil. Orozco's abscence was missed, but I guess a draw was all we could salvage. In all, good game.

I've always thought of Menezes as a below par coach. His mind works in odd ways. Where is Kaka, Hulk, Marcelo, Ronaldinho? His solution is to put undying trust in unproven potential stars, and have a brigade of mediocre players backing them up.

Check this out, my second favorite Brazilian journalist Vitor Birner:

Notas

Julio César – 6

Daniel Alves – 5

Thiago Silva – 6

Lúcio -6

André Santos – 5

Lucas Leiva -6

Ramires -3

Robinho -3

Ganso -1,5

Neymar -4

Pato -4

Fred – 3

Lucas -3

Elano – 4

and then my favorite one, Juca Kfouri:

Na defesa, de Júlio César e André Santos, 7 para todos, menos para Daniel Alves, com 7,5.

No meio de campo, Lucas fica com 5, Ramires com 4 e Ganso com 4,5.

Na frente, Robinho leva 3, Neymar 5,5, Pato 6,5, que não deveria ter saído para a entrada do sem nota Lucas (que tinha mesmo de entrar) e Fred, 4,5.

Elano que substituiu Ramires fica também sem nota.

Mano fica com 4. E olhe lá [=MAYBE NOT EVEN THAT]! É que o casaco dele deu inveja ao Paulo Roberto Falcão.

Mas deve dar uma entrevista nota 10.

people are riding on these players like lavezzi, messi, neymar, pato etc too much, they were great.

Reflecting on this game, perhaps everyone is overreacting a bit. I remember when Ozil, Canales, Di Maria, Khedira, etc. first played for Madrid. There were numerous comments like, "These kids suck and have no potential, Kaka at 50% is better than all these clowns combined". It only takes a few games for everything to turn around.

Very disappointed. All show, no product. We really need to improve in the final third and I'm sure people will start to say Neymar and Ganso are overrated by one match. We dominated the first half, played some nice football, Pato hit the bar and a shoulder stopped Robinho from scoring but we were really disappointing in the second half. Hulk, Nilmar, Hernanes and Fernando should have been called up for alternatives to Elvis Presley, Pato, Ganso and Ramires respectively. Hope we improve in the coming games.
