The unfortunate duplicity of being an Arsenal Supporter.

We should not be mad for the same reasons that we were not mad when Henry left. Like when Henry left, him and Sanga are getting up there is years and probably only have a few years left to truly be a key part of any title contention along with the limited ability to get that one last big contract. We are now in the same perpetual rebuilding phase that we were the year that Henry left. With the mentality of our owner, the board and Manager, If Sanga were to stay here is there any chance that he would be able to win the EPL or CL next year? Or is our ambition really based on the new 5 year contracts that we just gave out to what is supposed to be our new core? With any true plans on winning honors really pushed out another 3 or 4 years. With his replacement being a part of that new core and the club not really having any plans of him being able to contribute.

So we should not be mad at Sanga like we were not mad at Henry and should not be mad about some of the others that have left. Since none of the owner, board or manager have done anything over the last 9 years to show the ambition that they are willing to do whatever is necessary to win or even really compete for honors next year.

The effort club pulled in trying to make theo sign, Sagna deserves that as well. Maybe he wants to see how badly we want him to stay. I love jenkinson, but Sagna is a must keep. At least for the next 2-3 years

Agree 100% but perhaps the club feels that there is nothing they can do as Sagna has done absolutely magnificent for us for many many years, and he hasn't got a trophy yet, so they might think we can't sign him up because we can't guarantee him trophies. Either way, if i were Wenger i'd do everything in my power to get Sagna to extend...

I doubt many clubs will want to lose their best players in the final days of the transfer window without having a chance to replace them unless we're overpaying which is highly unlikely to happen.

Fair play to Wenger if he pulls 2 big signings though. A striker and a DM hopefully.

By the way just read that Birmingham City will have to sell goalkeeper Jack Butland for financial reasons and reportedly would cost £3.5m just. Would you sign or would you not?

Don't see much point in signing Butland. He's a young keeper with a lot of inconsistencies in his game - he's made some bad mistakes this year as well some excellent saves - that can only be ironed out through consistent playing time. He's not going to grow being understudy to another young keeper.

that's always the problem with Wenger: Wins such as these decieve him into thinking we've 'found' form', when in fact its more a 'paper over cracks' scenario. Really do hope he buys a couple of players.

I find it so bizarre that two player [yanga and M'vila] we were often linked with have now eneded up at, shall I say, much lesser teams. I guess this is testament to how much the media actually WRITE CRAP.

They would have love to come to Arsenal but Wenger still has not made up his mind to buy. He is wait for next week to get goo deals on players, I would not be surprised he signed 2 players on loan who are rejects at other clubs.

He is not serious, he said last week his phone keeps ringing and teams offering him players, and we still have not signed anyone yet.

Wenger has to stop being a BANK MANAGER.

6 days to go.

I am certain, Wenger changed his mind yesterday about what he wanted to do today.

I love Arsenal winning big but I would have been much happier with a 2-1 for now. If we had a real football Manager and not a Bank manager I would have loved the score like to be 10-1.
