Re: FIFA FiFPro World XI
No need to take these World XIs seriously.
Most of us here could come up with a far more legitimate team in a matter of minutes.

Yes I do. That's why Falcao's contribution to his team is more significant than whatever RvP and Ibra did for Arsenal/AC Milan.Gil wrote:Blue Barrett wrote:Ridiculous argument? How did Messi win his very first Ballon d'Or over Ronaldo? Messi won the CL that year.Gil wrote:

And Messi didn't have to win ANYTHING(even though he won Copa Del Rey, anyway). His record sealed it for him.
You do realize its a team sport right?
Take away each of these players from their teams and the teams become mediocre so that's not a factor. They've all been extremely vital to their teams this year but Falcao has come through for Atletico when he was needed the most(Europa League final). Not fair to RvP & Ibra who didn't play in the Europa league but that's not Falcao's problem.
Who had the most goals in 2012 b/w those three, if I may ask?(I don't know, that's why I'm asking)

Re: FIFA FiFPro World XI
BB... with all due respect, Falcao is not even in the same league as Ibra or RVP in terms of a football player. Ibra is the best CF in the world and has been going on 3 years now. RVP is right behind him. Falcao does what he does extremely well... but he doesn't impact overall play anywhere like those two. Falcao's job is to score and that's it. He doesn't create regularly for others to score.
Ibra and RVP deserved being on the podium a lot more as footballers. The reason Falcao made it is that he was the best player on the team that won the Europa league with a stellar tournament and final game performance.
Just to give you some stats... Ibra had 40+ goals and 20 assists in calendar year 2012.

Re: FIFA FiFPro World XI
You guys both make great points for your respective opinions.
I have to agree that Falcao deserves to be there ahead of Ibra(whom I love) and RVP (whom I used to love )
Falcao won both the Europa League and the Supercup , scoring a hat-trick in both finals I believe, while being 3rd highest scorer in La Liga dominated by Real/Barca. Definitely Falcao's year last season and deserves it.
Alonso and Pique being there is a joke. I also would have Pirlo ahead of Iniesta for last season alone, but i know many disagree with that one.

Tbh Falcao being there isn't a joke like Alonso, Alves, Pique, Ramos and arguably Marcelo is.
He has legitimate reasons why he should be there i just prefer RVP is all.

Why does Silva never make it? lol. He is clearly the best CB in the world. Pepe is a better CB than Ramos or Pique too lol.

I sort of understand this year tbh, he wasn't that great for Milan and he's been at PSG for 2nd half of the year.
But yeah he's by far the best
Also Alonso being there is a joke because Pirlo was far superior in 2012, Ramos being there is a joke because there is at least 5 better CBs and i said Marcelo is arguable.
I also said Pique was a joke, you could name 50 better defenders in 2012 than him

Alba is our first choice left back,Adriano has hardly played at LB this season.RB is Adrianos best position.

Re: FIFA FiFPro World XI
Lol at people picking Ashley Cole,3 good performances in the CL when he essentially had the help of 8 other defenders on his team and people think this is good enough to be picked ahead of Alba and Marcelo. In the CL Final Chelsea had 2 LB's playing FFS!Alba and Marcelo were much better in the whole calender year.Hard to choose between them two.
Pique obviously shouldn't be there but him and Ramos had a great Euros,Kompany doesn't deserve to be in it because whenever he plays in the CL he looks like a scrub.I would pick Ramos and Barzagli.
Pirlo instead of Alonso as well.Busquets was brilliant last year as well,he at least deserves a shout out.
Falcao or Zlatan upfront.

Fanboi alert.
Ibra has been immense all year and so has RVP.
Van Persie flopped majorly for Holland AGAIN in the Euros.
Ibra was brilliant in the Euros so Ibra wins.
And what's this about Falcao only been a goalscorer and having nothing else to his game, people talking about him like he's Javier Hernandez 2.0 He has a nice first touch,he's strong, mobile, fast ,he can hold the ball up or link up with midfielders.Great work rate off the ball etc
Falcao won the Europa League and Super Cup,Van Persie didn't win anything.

juveman17 wrote:And the corruption award for year goes to Fifa............
This post shows your intelligence, people voted this team it has nothing to do with Fifa. Please tell me what they would gain out of picking a world 11? Do you know what corruption is? Don't just throw words around because you saw it on tv or something. Last I remember Juventus was found guilty of corruption and Fifa has not!
FYI "innocent until proven guilty"

He was injured a lot last year and now he plays in the French League so not many people watch him play.

Pique shouldn't be there, Pirlo for Xabi Alonso, Iker didn't have his best year but then again I can't think of someone definitely ahead of him. Can't see how Falcao is being criticized for being there, Ibra and RVP? Didn't achieve half of what he did last season.
