Laughing That's a funny excuse. Basically none of the Italian players had any Champions League obligations. Busquets played 65 games all season (5113) minutes. Alonso played 67 games (5622) minutes. De Rossi played 43 games (3629) minutes. Pirlo played 52 games (4627 minutes). If at all the Italians had advantages with their conditioning. Italy conceded 2 goals within the first 41 minutes. Tiredness. Laughing

Fuentes:
"If I said what I know, goodbye to the World Cup and European Championship"
Google search who is fuentes, and realise why is spain dominating world of sport suddenly..

Because Spain has players like Iniesta,Xavi,Alonso,Busquets,Silva,Villa,Torres(when he was good),Puyol,Pique,Ramos,Casilas,Mata,Carzola,Navas,Alba and Fabregas?

I weren't aware any drugs could make your technique, football intelligence and creativity better. Neutral

than why they gave Messi those hormons? I guess they only wanted to make him a better looking man...
Phisycality in football is very important, football is very much about running and covering spaces, doing pressing, etc ... I guess only me and French press really care about the dopping influence in spain's sport, so that's fine , it's like talking to deaf.

 why do I even bother?

Yeah Italian players played less over the season but are you trying to tell me that having 2 days rest after a match isn't quite a bit different from 3 days rest?

Have you ever experienced this?

Captain of Cuba: 1st place - Xabi Alonso
Captain of Algeria: 1st place - Karim Benzema
Captain of Cambodia: No Messi.
Captain of Montenegro [Mirko Vucinic]: 1st place - Gianluigi Buffon, 2nd place - Andrea Pirlo
Captain of Myanmar: 1st place - Iker Casillas
Coach of Cambodia: 2nd place - Neymar
Coach of Germany [Löw]: 1st place - Mesut Özil, 2nd place - Manuel Neuer
Coach of Somalia: 2nd place - Neymar
Coach of Thailand: 1st place - Sergio Busquets
Media of Finland: No Ronaldo
Media of Wales: 3rd place - Gerard Piqué
Media of Suriname: No Messi, No Ronaldo

There are some other funny ones, but I've just left them out.

Not sure how one person picking Busquets is such a big deal, last season he was better than Pique,Casillas,Neymar,Drogba,Balotelli and Rooney yet nobody laughs at people picking them as a winner. scratch

I laughed at how Didier Drogba and Wayne Rooney received ludicrous first-place votes. I found it funny how Neymar was voted as being a top 3 player, as Balotelli and Pique. Casillas is not really an issue for me if someone wants him as 3rd place, even though there were obviously better players in their respective positions than him.

But the issue is that Thailand voted Sergio Busquets as the best footballer in the world. Over Andrea Pirlo, Radamel Falcao, Andres Iniesta, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Lionel Messi. That's what's the funniest thing. Sergio Busquets is a decent footballer who excels mostly due to his intelligence in the Barcelona/Spain system, but he is obviously not as good as someone like Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi.

Not but the Thailand Coach probably just thought and quite rightly that Busquets is underrated and doesn't get the recognition he deserves.

That's stupid. How does voting Sergio Busquets as the best player in the world give him positive recognition? It just shows the idiocy on the manager's part and how laughable it is that Sergio Busquets could even be considered as better than Lionel Messi.

Not as laughable as Rooney been considered to be the best in the world last season.

Anyway if you have a problem with it contact who ever votes and tell them why they are wrong.

Really so a player who is payed millions of dallars needs more then two days of rest after playing 90 minutes of football? Please stop with this nonsense Italy did not lose to Spain because they were tired they lost because Spain was better plain and simple! I can agree with some of the points you make but this rest thing is BS.

Have you played the sport? Have you ever done any rigorous exercises? I never playe professionally but I played the sport in school and you are supposed to train so your stamina goes up. I was in the army and there is no such thing as we lost the battle because I was tired. You train hard to be fit do you can outlast others. Dont try to use rest as an excuse.

There is only one person that considered Wayne Rooney the best player in the world in 2011, and that was the Coach of Pakistan. No other voter placed Wayne Rooney as his opinion for the best player in the world.

I do not have a problem with the voting, because I don't really care about the FIFPro World XI. I just found some of the votes hilarious, such as how the Media of Cambodia voted Neymar as the best player in the world for the year of 2011.

These awards lost any sort of legitimacy, what is going on there?

Can't have faith in any institution nowadays.
