Premier League - Norwich City vs Chelsea

On Wednesday, Chelsea travel to in-form Norwich to take on a resurgent Canaries side in this year's Premier League Boxing Day fixture.

Chris Hughton's men have been on a truly unbelievable run since the 2 sides last met back in October, going from what looked like odds-on relegation favourites to almost certain survivors and even mid-table contenders. The Norfolk club are an impressive 6th in the Premier League form table, and are currently sitting 10th in the League with 25 points.

Chelsea go into this match on the back of a complete and utter annihilation of Aston Villa at the Bridge on Sunday, as the Blues thumped the Birmingham club 8-0.

Norwich come off the back of a loss at the weekend to Chelsea legend Steve Clarke's West Brom side, as Chelsea loanee Romelu Lukaku's 82nd minute goal condemned the Canaries to their first League loss in 10 matches, stretching back, in fact, to the last time Chelsea faced off against them in early October.

Chelsea will be feeling confident going into this game for sure, but will be wary of the certain threat Norwich pose. Both Manchester United and Arsenal came to Carrow Road in the last few months, and both left with 0 points, as two 1-0 victories for Hughton's side shocked the Premier League giants with a set of unlikely victories.

Missing for Norwich are Steven Whittaker and goalkeeper John Ruddy, while Chelsea will be without Oriol Romeu and John Terry, as well as Daniel Sturridge, whose January move to Liverpool appears all but complete.

lets kick some ass, and hoping torres continues his goal scoring (for my sake atleast hahaha), also shed I am curious about your sig, when was that pic taken with lamps with that fly emirates shirt? i havent been a long time chelsea fan so dunno if emirates was a sponsor for chelsea at some point or if it was for west ham united back in the day?

It's a game in our favour, I think, with Norwich losing their unbeaten run and us thrashing Villa, Spirits will be high and we will want to continue that. Put out a strong lineup and hopefully we will continue this post-Japan run of form.

Of course they were a Chelsea sponsor, silly! Back in the early 00's up until '05. And these pictures were taken when he was signed back in '01. Hasn't aged a bit tho

its 20 mins in and david luiz is pissing me off, why is he trying to shoot the ball??? and three times too that went 100 ft into the air instead of a simplier pass to mata or torres in from of goal....

First shot was woeful but the second shot he was right to take the shot just poorly executed imo.

Excellent win, and an important one as well with City losing. Onwards and upwards

another upside is that we still have that southampton game to play, which should be another 3 points for us (hopefully)
