Re: Lewandowski to utd?
We don't need him. Another Suarez. Inconsistent finshing considering how many chances Dortmund create.
No thanks Jeff

Re: Lewandowski to utd?
Hahahahahaha enjoy the death of scoring chances, United. I hope this goes through, Dortmund can get 2 better strikers for 15m, and by the time Utd realize they don't have half as good a service as Dortmund does, and Lewa needs like 12 chances per goal, it'll be too late
Lewandowski is pretty good at holding up the ball, involving himself in play, and assisting, but his finishing is utter shit.
If RvP was a bit worse technically, and couldn't hit an airplane hangar, that'd be Lewandowski.
Oh boy, for the sake of Dortmund I hope this is true.

Re: Lewandowski to utd?
That being said, if they use Lewa as a Rooney-backup behind RvP he might actually turn out to be a good buy, though if I was Utd, I'd play Kagawa "in the hole".

Exactly that's what he is, and what he can do. Just don't expect Lewandowski to finish anything. Your service is far worse than Dortmunds, no offense.

How is their service worse when they have a solid playmaker in Micheal Carrick and Paul freaking Scholes in midfield. Then there is Wayne Rooney playing in the hole for Van Persie who already is a creator while on the flanks there are world class wingers like Nani and Valencia providing crosses.
Surely better than Dortmunds.
Edit: Forgot about Kagawa who was Dortmund's prime AM for 2 years.

Re: Lewandowski to utd?
kagawa will be used in his japan role, sort of like silva at city.
sir alex wants the diamond formation to work and kagawa is perfect for it.
plus rooney is just better

Re: Lewandowski to utd?
What's united goal? To have more strikers than City?
IMO makes no sense that they buy Lewandowski. He is not better than what they've got and they already have enough strikers with RVP, Chicha, Welbeck and Rooney.
They should think of improving their midfield and defence mostly. And if Nani leaves, their wings.

Re: Lewandowski to utd?
Manchester United have great support for strikers, I'm pretty sure Lewa will become good for United. This is a good deal for three parties involved.

Re: Lewandowski to utd?
I'm not really convinced in the diamond being a long term success if i'm honest.
It worked against us in the first 15 mins because we played 4-4-2 and it was 4 v 2 at all times and even then they didn't create much from open play and the two goals came from corners.
And i have hardly seen it used since, fair play if it does but i'm quite skeptical.

Re: Lewandowski to utd?
Hating on Lewandowski I see. 9 goals + 3 assists this season. He had 33 goals for club and country last year. The way you lot describe him seems like he can't score goals. His hold up play is amazing and he is a great striker for any team!!

Re: Lewandowski to utd?
Lets see where this takes us. Looks like another thoughtless buy from SAF to me, ignoring the positions need improving again.
Unless he is planning something spectacular . Which is highly unlikely considering his stubbornness. Enough is enough FFS

it's a bit exaggerated, everybody knows he's not a bad striker. still, he does miss quite a few chances..

Re: Lewandowski to utd?
utd tried for lucas and hazard so an attacking option is obviously a priority.
in utds formation, the weakness is rvps partner. chicha cant influence play from the start and welbeck sucks.
the signing makes sense if u consider rooney as an am

We understand that SAF has made attacking options a priority. I think most of goallegacy is in agreement that this is a stupid idea - including, tbh, a lot of your fellow Man U fans. Chicha and Welbeck are the only weak points in what is now a 6 man attack, and you could flip around the formation to a system that doesn't require a partner up front. Meanwhile, you have no cover in a midfield that includes a player in his late 30s. I don't think we're saying anything too controversial here.

Man Utd don't need anymore strikers. RVP, Rooney, Hernandez, Welbeck etc. Plus Kagawa needs to be playing in an attacking position.
