For god's sake when will some of you Premface's learn that every above average / good player from Spain tears apart the EPL.
Every time one of these players do something like score twice on Arsenal's vaunted defense or just score in general we hear how great the EPL is and then they get compared to Iniesta or it's inevitable they say something about Barca or Madrid like Michu would play for Barca.
Guess what if Barca wanted him they would have him. The same goes for VDB there is a reason he doesn't buy into this BS and starts mostly the same players all the time (Almost all from La Liga) because he know's who is best.
I'm sorry your league is lacking in attacking players and need to get some from La Liga and I bet this year you will bash a player like Alexis Sanchez and then when he comes to the EPL and rapes it you will praise him to the hilt for doing it in a "better league".
This cycle is never ending. Yes Michu is a good player but he could not sniff playing time at Barca, hell David Villa finds it hard to get playing time these days and he is twice the player Michu is. I'm not slamming Michu BTW just talking sense.

in no way is epl a harder league then la liga. Michu already had 17 goals last season in la liga as well.
No great improvement i really see..

That was in like, 38 appearances. He's had probably around 16 or so appearances this season, with 10 goals to his name.
If you're going to compare on a purely goals basis, what until the season is over at least so you can compare goals to appearances on an equal scale. Right now it's not even skewed towards the EPL lol
That's a stupid way to go about it anyway though. Tbf though all league-league comparison arguments are retarded.
Can I officially call him the signing of the season yet, btw? I want to see a front two of Michu and RVP ffs

Cazorla has been a clown since the Spurs game, Giroud has been better and is suffering with the lack of creativity Arsenal have at the moment.
David Silva has been pretty cack for a long time now.

Difference is Cazorla has been his teams best player by a mile.
Silva just hasn't been in form for a long time and doesn't look the same player he did for club and country.
Granero was always out of his depth in Madrid and never was rated highly.

well no wonder Cazorla is not doing well lately then. Since when did he play in a "cross it in" team. If he wanted to play in such a team i am sure he would have chosen Sevilla over you guys
Arsenal of old not this season and Malaga have very similar play in the sense its very fast beautiful football. Girourd comes in and you have to change how you play and Cazorla suffers. same with Dzeko btw

You realize that Santi and Walcott both have 4 goals within the league? Your telling me Santi hasn't been the best player for Arsenal despite being their sole creative hub for their team? His performances have trumped anyone within the team by quite some distance. Not a shame to admit given how superb of a player he is.

Re: Michu appreciation thread
Walcott has been our best player, not Cazorla. It doesn't have to do anything with style of play, he's been average for the last 4 games.
Don't get me wrong Cazorla is still our best player overall, it's just that he's not really 'tearing the league apart' as some people want to believe he is.

On what basis has Walcott been Arsenal's best player?
Cazorla yesterday was the only one creating any chances vs Swansea as his performance was far from average.
Even vs Everton he was the creative hub of the team in his free role drifting also to the wings to supply the wide men.
Are you forgetting that Wenger hasn't rested Cazorla at all when he clearly needs the rest? Yet he still performs and still is the stand out player for Arsenal.

Re: Michu appreciation thread
While Santi is clearly the more talented and maybe even more influential player, Walcott simply has been more decisive.
Not taking anything from Caforla, I blame Wenger for using him as the sole creative hub in our team and placing so much burden on him. Playing him in every game and not subbing him out doesn't help either.
Anyway...to prove my point:
It's clear that if we had another creative outlet, let's say on the wings, Santi's form wouldn't suffer so much.
All eyes on Wenger.

You've provided me with quite an informative piece of data but statistical data can only go so far.
Its like comparing Di Maria who statistically trumps Iniesta in Goals and Assists but is he really as influential throughout the 90 minutes?
Walcott for me has been Arsenal's best attacker up front and definitely the most decisive (Giroud deserves a mention as well).
But the fact is what Cazorla has done has almost created a spectrum of standard from Gooners on what to expect from him as slight drops in performance from him is highly scrutinized just like it has for Arteta. Whereas the point is Cazorla has still been performing at high levels and above the squad.

That's true, Santi's early season was was spectacular. It's clear to every Arsenal supporter that fatigue has taken a toll on him and he needs help in the creative department.
His last game against Swansea was pretty underwhelming though.
We've been accustomed to the Cazorla who single-handedly dominates teams and makes things happen, so it's unusual for us to see him make bad decisions and misplacing passes.
With Rosicky's return, he can hopefully get some rest and come back in style.

Yeah no...
Silva was great for a couple months but has been reduced to good but not great performances with only very brief flashes of excellence here and there
Cazorla's "tearing up the EPL" phase was even shorter, and if you exclude the Spurs game (where Arsenal was up a man for 70 minutes), Cazorla really hasn't been anything special in the league since West Ham October 6th...
The only place Cazorla has been Arsenal's best player is in some sort of alternate universe.

Obviously no one can maintain consistency for the whole season , silva did have a blip in form after a great few months but got back into form again and is really important to city's play , it just shows whenever he is playing
cazorla may not be in the best of form but during his short stint in arsenal so fa,r he has been pretty impressive and one of hteir best players

I guess its just the above-average ones that don't
