Yes considering he is one of the only CFs in Serie A who has scored against every team over two times? Half of Pazzo's goals with Milan were game saving goals as yesterday is just an example. Why hold little praise for his clutch ability which saved launched Sampdoria to 4th spot (along with Cassano) and how he has been prolific for Milan in launching us from relegation to 3rd? Or where he brought Sampdora down 3 agg. goals only to have his team go out on away goals via Pizzaro
Why criticize him for being a one-trick pony? He is ambidextrous, possess highly intelligent movement, is clutch, one of the classic headers of the ball who rely less on power and more on acute angles and accuracy. How about his volleying technique or that he scored from 20 yards while hobbling on one foot? Or the fact that he moves less than a goalkeeper yet is consistent in his finishing? See his goals this season.
Cassano has been quite good this season yet Pazzo has been far better and has many more years on him.
Even Inzaghi's lack of technique was a myth. Another two-footed, expert volley-er with expert finishing and there hasn't been a more intelligent or clutch striker since then. His goal v Barca in the Joan Gamper was just an example.
Poaching isn't dead as most modern strikers don't realize a damn thing about exploiting and opening channels and that you CAN score even if you are in poor form. Its a lost art that guys like Gomez, Huntelaar, Pazzini, Borini, Klose, etc are carrying.
Qualities such as these in-box intelligence and instincts cannot be taught
Another good read... just goes to show nothing is definite in football... just when I thought the pure poacher is dead Although obviously for a poacher to be successful, he needs to be in a team thats built for it... I always thought an ideal team should have different players good at different things, and this is one thing Barca missing now definitely, Villa used to be it, but not effective anymore...

If we're talking about versatility, Cassano can play in centre, behind the striker or on the side while Pazzini is an average one trick pony poacher type player who scores a handful against crappy teams and flops consistently against good teams.
Oh, and celebration what?

I think most of you are underplaying what Cassano did with inter this season. He was brought in and alot of people were under the impression that he was going to play with Sneijder behind Milito, Coutinho and Palacio were considered back up. This way not all the creativity will fall on Cassano.
What happened? Sneijder and Coutinho got sold, which meant EVERYTHING fell on Cassano, creating goal scoring opportunities and what not. Granted, Sneijder didnt play alot before being frozen out but Milito really made a difference before his injury. I mean whenever i watched an inter game, it was hell if Cassano didn't play, because whenever he did play he would make a difference, even if he wasnt 100% or not in form. oh and palacio was a beast untill his injury too.
Which brings me to the point of who got the better deal. I'd say both, inter got a playmaker from Cassano and milan got a goal scorer from Pazzini. If you gave me the option now, I would make the same choice... we got 7 million too

Pazzini did more for Milan in the game against Catania than what Cassano has done for Inter all season.

You obviously don't have the mental capacity to understand the complexity of my statement. Pazzini's two goals against Catania were more important to Milan than anything Cassano has done for Inter this season. Look where Inter are, and now look where Milan are. If Pazzini doesn't score those two goals, we practically lose the race for the champions league spot. I can guarantee nothing Cassano has done this season is even remotely as important. Yes, to direct your statement, I watch almost every Inter match.

It's okay Milan fans, enjoy it while it lasts, we too had a hard on for pazzini in his first season, but then we needed him to actually play football and the rest is history..

Serie A alone:
Assisted go-ahead goal and cushion goal in 3-2 vs Sampdoria
Assisted go-ahead goal in Inter 2-1 Napoli
Assisted equalizing goal in Inter 1-1 Genoa
Assisted go-ahead goal in Inter 2-0 Pescara
Scored go-ahead goal in Inter 2-0 Catania

No he means he scored the last game, therefore the most important

Honestly don't see what the debate is all about. Inter have a known lack of creativity so they needed someone like Cassano. Milan needed a somewhat prolific goalscorer. They each got what they needed. Who cares which one was the "best" signing? They've both been successful.

Re: Old style Italian center forward: Pazzini
Bit harsh imo, looking at Inter's squad...Kuzma, Schelotto, Gargano and Rocchi..a bit hard to reach aspirations with those in the starting XI
Not to mention the amount of injuries they've had over the season
