Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
If just Sagna leaves its fine, but its a tradition for Arsenal to sell few at once.
Sagna out.
Walcott out.
Who is the lucky #3?
I am just kidding, I believe Sagna will sign with us, he can give us easily another good 4 years. Jenk has been good for what 5/6 games? not convinced yet.
Wenger should leave with Sagna if he lets him go.

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Sagna is clearly suffering“It has been magic. I’ve enjoyed a lot playing for Arsenal and I still love it,” Sagna told Arsenal Player. “Every time I go to the pitch, I just give 100 per cent for the team.
“[The Club] is like my family. My personal family is in France but I feel at home here, I feel happy to come training and I feel relaxed. There are not many big clubs where you feel that confident."

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Nooooooooooooooooo
But...... he's 30 soon, world class for 4 years and is yet to win a title. Bacary really deserves to win something big with Arsenal or someone else.

Did anyone read the interview he gave on Arsenal.com?
Not that those words will mean anything come January or July

Anyway, what exactly has caused the conclusion that he's leaving? I don't want to say that he won't go because I've said that before about players and they f*cked off anyway, but is there any concrete evidence?

Besides... at Arsenal you always expect someone to get sold and Sagna is a real possibility, 30 years old soon, world class, Jenkinson stepping up, moaning on twitter how he wants to win the champions league etc...
There are so many things that make a world class footballer leave Arsenal football club at the moment.
Don't see why is it such a surprise.

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
This story is 2 months old though, and we talked about it back then, with Sagna coming out to quell rumours back then also. We're just bringing it up again to further enhance the bad mood around the club?urbaNRoots wrote:http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19503848

Well I didn't open the thread. Only discussing the possibility which is pretty high considering our history of selling players in recent years "to make profit".

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Typically I'd take this opportunity to slam Arsenal on having their best players leave, but Jenkinson looks to be able to fill that gap almost seamlessly, so I don't think you guys will miss him too much if he does leave, given Jenkinson continues on with performances like he's shown this season.

Playing at Arsenal is magic, boasts Sagna
"It has been magic. I’ve enjoyed a lot playing for Arsenal and I still love it," Sagna told the club's official website.
"Every time I go to the pitch, I just give 100 per cent for the team. [The club] is like my family. My personal family is in France but I feel at home here, I feel happy to come training and I feel relaxed.
"There are not many big clubs where you feel that confident. I think I have progressed a lot - that was my target, to come to such a big club and improve.
"I am very calm compared to when I came, I used to be a bit stressed before games but now I am totally relaxed because of my team-mates and the manager [Arsene Wenger]."
"I was a bit nervous because my English was [very basic], I was leaving my family and friends and it was a new life for me.
"The first day was long. I had a lot of tests and I just had to wait for the FA to approve my contract. For one week I was scared something would happen.
"They finally [approved it] and I first started here at Emirates Stadium against Fulham. We won the game in the last 10 minutes, so it was just magic."

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Jenko needs to work on his positioning in both offense and defense. He's beast in 1v1 though.
A year from now we won't notice Sagna ever left. (not that I want it to happen )

Agreed. Hope we keep him, but prepared for more gloom and doom. (Don't forget, we're talking about Arsenal!)

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
After seeing what happened in the tunnel vs Adebayor..
how can he react like that and then leave Arsenal unless there is some personal conflict.. Does he want to receive the same response from someone else in the future ?

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
I would've agreed with you but, if you notice, he completely ignores adebayor (like a BAWS) but he greets and hugs Gallas. So if i had to guess he's got beef with Adebayor.Wilson37 wrote:After seeing what happened in the tunnel vs Adebayor..

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Since the rumours started that he'd probably leave... I knew he would.
It's a big shame, because in my opinion he is hands down the best RB in the EPL. Though Jenko's been looking solid this season. We'd juz had hope he'll continue like that and only get better.
Be our saviour Carl Jenkinson

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Sagna is more talented than Jenkinson. He is someone who primarily succeeds through his talent whereas Jenkinson is someone who primarily succeeds through his very high work rate. Sagna is better.

maybe just because Gallas is his French NT mate..The Verminator wrote:I would've agreed with you but, if you notice, he completely ignores adebayor (like a BAWS) but he greets and hugs Gallas. Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Just to clear things up, Sagna did hug Adebayor before the video. I thought so at first but there is another video at the beginning where they shake hands and hug.
I know the video is funny though.

I'm not bothered by that fact as Sagna is one of the best or at the very least most balanced RBs in the world. I think Jenko's work rate will take him far, he's also got great talent though.

Re: Bacary Sagna is leaving...
Disappointed if he leave, but far from surprised. Arsenal have had to sell to actually make a profit each year till we renegotiate sponsorship and branding deals of course. Jenko has done well, and I can only imagine that Yennaris will be 2nd choice..
£5-£8m for Sagna will be an expected fee
