then our squad will have 21 players,DM and a FW is all we need really
For the DM ,Sandro or Forfana would be great and Neymar will prob be the FW
and thats 23 players

Where have you been? We are done with the exception of a possible addition of a 3rd striker. Neymar doesn't come until next year. #rd striker may be Adebayor. But we are hoping it will be a part time Morata. He, Mejias and Nacho are in Castilla line-up but will practice and get occasional call-ups to 1st team.

Am I only one who still wants Lass to stay?

our squad is a bit crowded, but to be honest i would prefer him to stay- it gives our squad a different dimension.. we dont have a destroyer type DM.

so no you are not the only one, mou is included in this list as well- offered a new contract, more money..

he didnt take it, he wants first team football in order to play for france. cant really blame him there.

I will be sad to see Gago go... Tons of potential, but at some point potential needs to be realised...

If both Lass and Gago go, we will need another DM to come in. I haven't been very focused on this, are there any names being thrown about? Realistically that is, not by Tribal football and the like...

He has played Albiol there a couple of times this preseason. Surprisingly he hasn't looked too bad there. He isn't going to get much action this year at CB so maybe he is an alternative to Pepe when a DM is needed. Note also that Varane has played there as well and Ramos has always said he wouldn't mind playing a little there. So bottom line, when a DM is needed - late in close games with lead and possibly against Barca, there are ample resources to fill this need. 90% of time we go with 3 of Alonso, Khedira, Sahin and Ozil. Then there is also Coentrao and Granero available.

They are. In the 4-3-3 formation they are playing it those 2 (at times it will be Sahin in place of one of them) with Ozil (CAM) in the middle. This DM only comes in when we need a defensive apprach e.g. protecting lead late in game. It's still a possible strategy against Barca. I prefer not, but thus far our MF is not performing well, not up to Barca levels and we may have to go back to last year's strategy. It's even more important than that dude, Castilla in Segunda means better ready youngsters, means that you dont necessarily have to loan them. It's very important for long term ambition. Look at how much the barca kids have grown playing in segunda. Deulofeu is going to play with barca B, and the level of competition will boost his growth for ex, while Jese is stuck in 3rd division.

The importance of this for Madrid has been reflected in the 15 or so youngsters bought by Madrid so far this summer

I havent been able to keep track of those youngsters tho. I hear about some, but i dont know if we picked up gems. I heard about one guy from sevilla B for castilla, that's it.

We came close last year despite our poor start to the season. A strong start from Toril could make it much easier for us to get promoted.

Anyone know when we release our players for international play this week? When do they come back? It's really, really close to the barca games.

ozil and khedira wont be playing against us.
