Why is Messi not in your line-up? Did he arrive too late, as i see Alexis is there?

I read somewhere that Tito wants to rest him and it seems likely considering he was rested after the last international game. Perhaps Alexis will be rested too, then Tello would possibly come in, or Xavi and Cesc up front.
It is also possible that Song is not available, because he had trobule leaving Congo (his passport was stolen) and I don't know if he has arrived yet. We would then play with Bartra or Adriano as CB and Alba on the left I guess.

I hope Bartra plays this game... (I will keep saying this till he plays).
On a serious note though... I can see him playing a few games after this... We have Rayo, Alaves and Celta. He can play them as well.
I feel Villa will play because he didn't do much in the break. Maybe Tello as well. Adriano to start at LB.

Must win game.Madrid have a lot of players out.Could drop points. Its an excellent chance to increase the lead and pile the pressure on them.
Messi should play from the start. He is in excellent form and we shouldnt leave it too late to seal the points.

Re: Deportivo de la Coruña - Barça Saturday at 22:00
Not sure if I want Messi to start or not.
On one hand, Alex is right when we should be getting the 3 points, because it IS possible Madrid drop points (but very unlikely), and this is an opportunity.
On the other hand, we don't really need Messi to win this game IMO. Deportivo are 18th and just came up from relegation, they're still not a team that should be beating Barca, but they have faced some tough teams so far, so that 18th place is harsh.
I think we can rest Messi and get away with it certainly. If push comes to shove, sub him on. I see us winning comfortably though.

Re: Deportivo de la Coruña - Barça Saturday at 22:00
Thanks Free and really you should continue to make these threads .
Anyway, this game tomorrow will be great to win as we could gain points through the injuries that Madrid have.
Knowing Tito, he wiol probably rest Messi and bring him on when we really need him or when the game opens up. Would like Villa to start as he hasnt got much game time lately... Whether he is on the wings or in the middle is another question but I can see Tito playing Fab at false nine as he played a classy performance in that position last time... Would like to see Barta play as well and also the upcoming games as well as its a perfect opportunity to grow some match time experience. Also apparently Songs passpirt got stolen so there will be limited training time leading into an away game after an international break...
I can see Tello playing, meaning Im predicting no Pedro. Should be a win and hopefully not a tight win...

VeeYa to start, Leo come on in the last 30 min, Song paired with Mascherano to start but sub Bartra for him in the 2nd and let Busquets come off for Alex to get some minutes against at DM before Celtic

Great game so far, I am guessing Mr. Vilanova made sure that they put their foot on the pedal from the get go. Good advice.

Defense of Song-Masche is not looking particularly solid.

It won't matter much. I really don't understand why Barcelona fans are so concrened with the defence. Even Pep Guardiola said that Barcelona are horrible without the ball. As long as we try and win th ball back quickly, disrupt the flow of the opposition. Barcelona's pressing hasn't reached the heights it did in the special 2010/2011 season. Ball recovery is the most important thing.

Yes I am. This Barcelona reminds me much more of Cruyff's dream team than pep's. The risk is so much more than Guardiola's as Cesc seems to drive the ball forward a lot quicker.

This is why...
Anyway, I'm glad Tito played Messi
What a good game in terms of entertainment, but we can't concede that many anymore to anyone. Although tbf a lot of their goals were...all of them were so preventable, either by valdes or by the ref or by not shooting the ball into your net.
Goal 1: Fake Penalty
Goal 2: Valdes bobble/bad defending on the corner
Goal 3: Sick free kick
Goal 4: Alba beating Valdes to make the last 10 more interesting
Messi , Cesc played well also.

I hope this game finally rings all the possible alarm bells that we need a WC CB!
on a side note, the ref had something against Barca, for sure, as it is not his first time. But at least we washed off that bad Sevila karma as CBarca pointed out in the chat.
