Honestly,no matter what happens in this game, i will only truly judge the performance and mentality of the players on the basis of the premiership game.

The style, mentality and value (for lack of a better word) of champions league game highly differs from a premiership game.

Very happy Coquelin is starting, disappointed but not surprised Giroud isn't, it would make more sense to start him against West Ham, weaker opposition, on the weekend. Looks like a good side.

No matter how good our defense is, With Gervinho at striker we will never score enough goals to win games.

Giroud needs to get starts or else he won't get any better. I don't get this.

Also, I would just say Giroud is being benched to get starts against opponents he would be better suited to face like West Ham. But I remember thinking Park was getting the same treatment. lol.

We've been playing really poor today. Our midfield lacks creativity and our CB's are having nightmare. Gervinho is not playing well but he scored. Podolski is ghost today. Our FB's have been great in this match so far. Coquelin has been playing so-so and so is Arteta.
