I would agree with that.

Kos was our best defender last year.

Am loving Pod on the left as his work rate and discipline adds a lot to us defensively.

The big question is Wilshire & Diaby getting back to full fitness. Santi can play on the right.

If we are to compete this season a lot will depend on Giroud. We have very little cover up front and I would like to see Walcott given a chance up front in the Carling cup or lesser games as I think he is a reactionary type player and will be busier thru the middle. When he has time to think he panics a bit Laughing

Looking at Samuels list, we have a decent squad but Id probably have Coquelin instead of Rosicky (in terms of balance, not quality).

We are also short in pure striker. Only Giroud is our target man.

So, the question is, are we improved this season?'

Definitely not, we have gone backwards again...

Add RVP and Song to this list and we would have one of the strongest squads in Europe, on paper off course.

Who knows?? We might be better off this season without these two mercenaries.

Sometimes is all about chemistry.

Szezsney

Sagna Koscielny Vermaelen Gibbs

Arteta Jack

Ox/Theo Cazorla Podolski

Giroud

Rather see Cazorla keep his position Centrally

Diaby and Jack rotating due to injuries they can get enough games

Ox/Theo Depend on opposition

I still rate Gervinho higher than OX and Walcott on the flanks.

Pretty much this, except maybe throw Merte in there. He doesn't deserve to be dropped. No

The beginning of the summer I had Wilshere down as the central attacking midfielder, but with Cazorla now, I think we're better off with him beside Arteta as a B2B.

Cazorla is more mobile, has more creativity and has already forged an understanding with Podolski so I'd go with

Szcz; Sagna, Koscielny, Vermaelen, Gibbs; Arteta, Wilshere; Ox, Cazorla, Podolski; Giroud.

I rate Gervinho highly, but he's not as effective on the right for us, and Poldi has that position locked down. I'd rather have Ox on the right as well. His positional discipline is a concern, but offers alot more than Theo who can't face up to and dribble past defenders, and is useless against deep lying defences.

I rate Diaby highly too and have always believed he could be a midfield force but until he can put in consistent performances over a period of time, Jack nicks it ahead of him for me

mine will be...
Sczeny

Sagna Koscielny Vermaelen Gibbs

Arteta Wilshere

Ox/Cazorla Cazorla//Rosicky Podolski

Giroud

its hard to drop Diaby if he continues like this.. but Arteta and Cazorla are too important to the team.. Hope Wilshere can do Diabys job better..
i always picked Santos above Gibbs but after seeing last 3 matches and our style of play i am opting for Gibbs.. Podolski does not play as the LW, it was our LB who covered for this place... Gibbs is fast and has good stamina and can cover the entire left side, which could be a problem for Santos.. i meant Gibbs may be more physically suited..
