So in the CL final, this was our line up:


Now our line up is (for all intensive purposes, assuming everyone is fit and Higuain is signed):


I think this team is quite comfortably better for the following reasons.

First, we have much better depth.

Second, the attack is much, much improved- while I love Tevez and Morata, Higuain and Dybala are ahead.

Third, Pjanic, he has consistently been one of the best creative forces in Serie A for a few seasons now.

Fourth, Dani Alves and Alex Sandro are fantastic attacking wing backs, this is an element that is night and day different from 2015- on top of that, we have retained Evra and Lichtsteiner.

Fifth, the defense: Chiellini, Bonucci, Barzagli, Benatia, Rugani- this is a great core and group of central defenders.

Sixth, that season was Pirlo's worst in a Juventus shirt as well as Vidal's worst. Tevez was fantastic and seemingly irreplaceable for Juventus but Dybala had an amazing debut season.

For me, overall this squad has more quality and in the 3-5-2, the wing backs alone are an improvement on the 2015 team.

The real question will be the midfield because of Marchisio's long term injury and Khedira's injury proneness.

Anyways, just my opinion. Everyone will have their preference but for me, this squad is better equipped.

Inferior wing backs

Pirlo was finished then in big games, I say that as Pirlo's #1 worshipper.

Dybala > Tevez

Higuain > Morata


Vidal was injured and plain bad that season.

Our midfield is a bit weaker, wing backs and attack much improved.

And we're not done with our MF yet.
