Malaga CF : Los Protectores del paraiso
Club Deportivo Málaga traced its history back to 1904, with the formation of Málaga Foot-Ball Club and 1912 saw the birth of a rival club, Fútbol Club Malagueño. In 1927 the former became Real Málaga Fútbol Club after being granted royal patronage by Alfonso XIII.
In the 1929–30 season, both teams were founding members of the national third division and, in late 1930, Real Málaga was renamed Málaga Sports Club. Three years later, Málaga Sport Club and FC Malagueño merged (although what legally happened was that FC Malagueño absorbed Málaga Sport Club) to become Club Deportivo Malacitano and, in 1934, the latter made its debuts in the second level, when the category was expanded from ten teams to twenty four.
In 1941, Malacitano changed its name to Club Deportivo Málaga. After last competing in division three in 1960, the team fluctuated between both major levels of Spanish football, achieving a best position in La Liga in the 1971–72 season, finishing in seventh position.
CD Málaga folded after the 1991–92 campaign, spent in the second division - being relegated - immersed in overwhelming financial problems.
Since then Malaga CF has taken over the job of guarding the cost from British invaders and Spanish grandees alike, maintaining the purity of sand on football on the wonderful Andalusian coast.
Banos Del Carmen - The arena of the past , taken away by the sea.
Chaos and financial struggles are as prevalent as ever, but still within the financial uncertainty of foreign owners, there iies a cautious optimism in the Malaga project. Some great players have been lost , and some new talents found. All that can be hoped for is to avoid the road set by Villareal and enjoy our CL campaign to the fullest.

====>>What you should look forward to this season.
>The double pivot of doom.
Ignacio Camacho and Jeremy Toulalon are the spine of this Malaga team. Two of the best defensive midfielders in Spain, Cmacho possesses outstanding speed , power tactical awareness and an inspirational quality which perfectly complements
the graceful techquique, anticipation and skill of the silver fox.
>Fullback Play.
Jesues Gamez and Nacho (sometimes Eliseu) are some of the best attacking fullbacks in Spain, look for them to provide creativity in the final third as well as solid fedense.
>Isco
Possibly the most talented player in Spain, his touch , awareness of space and dribbling is reminiscent of Andres Iniesta. Still, he has yet to find a formula which allows him to consistently impact and control games. Look forward to his increased role with the departure of Cazorla, big shoes to fill, but there is no one more talented than him to fill it.
>Youth Strikers.
Juanmi Jiminez and Fabrice Olinga look set to share major minutes this season with the departures of Rondon and Van Nistelrooj and injury to Baptista. They will have to compete with recent acquisitions Saviola and Santa Cruz for the starting striker roles.
> Manuel Pellihrini

A very valuable 1-0 away win to Zaragonza today.
Goal came from none other than Camacho. guy is just a inspiration at the centre of the park TBH, when you need something desperately he shows up and gives it to you.

Malaga 3 Levante 1.
Very interesting lineup today from Pelle, with Milan coming up he decided to rest Toulalon in favor of Portillo, and as I said earlier, dude is a football genius. Fantastic performance overall.
-----------------Camacho--------------
Joaquin-Isco-------------Portillo----------Eliseu
-------------------Saviola.
Notes:
> Saviola was one of the standout performers, good movement up front and a very good finish and assist in his first start.
> Portillo dominated the midfield and scored a volley at the end , Pelle is a football genius.
> Camacho handled the midfield defensive duties quite well on his own.

Re: Malaga CF : Los Protectores del paraiso
Málaga CF completed another signing today, with Uruguayan defender Diego Lugano signing from Paris Saint Germain on loan, for the remainder of the season. Whilst there is no “option to buy” clause in the deal, the player is available to play in the Champions League.
Though negotiations were difficult at one stage, due to a difference in terms between the two clubs, eventually the deal was sealed. The player himself is looking forward to the opportunity and the challenges ahead.
“Everything that Málaga are going to play for in the second half of the season, made this a very tempting opportunity.” He told gathered journalists upon his arrival, before adding that “the Champions League was an influence, we have a chance in the Copa del Rey and things are good in La Liga. It’s a team that everyone has been talking about. Everyone wants to be here and hopefully I can contribute.”
Following spells with several Uruguayan clubs, Lugano made his first move abroad to neighbouring Brazil and São Paulo. A very successful spell in Brazil saw him win the Copa Libertadores, the FIFA Club World Championship and he became widely regarded as one of the best defenders in South America at the time.
A move to Europe beckoned and Lugano spent five seasons in Turkey with Fenerbahçe. He quickly became popular with fans, whilst winning the Turkish Süper Lig twice and the Turkish Super Cup twice.
At the start of last season, the millions of PSG came calling. His first season with the French club didn’t proceed as hoped though, as he made only 12 league and 5 Europa League appearances, hampered by injury and a dip in form. This season hasn’t proceeded any better and he’s not featured at all.
The loan move to Málaga will be a welcome opportunity for the player, who is renown for his defensive tenacity and his great heading ability from set pieces.

Re: Malaga CF : Los Protectores del paraiso
I don't know how to feel about this season ahead. Malaga lost Juanmi and both Samus, which were massive last season.
Then again, this is usual and we've lost bigger players, plus I trust Javi Gracia and we've looked nice on pre-season.
I'm just hoping we can slide into a Europa League spot this season.
