Masi completes full Juventus move

Promising defender Alberto Masi has joined Juventus on a permanent deal after the remainder of his registration rights were purchased from Pro Vercelli.

The 19-year-old initially agreed terms on a co-ownership agreement signed on 6 July. But following a string of impressive pre-season displays, the Bianconeri have elected to buy out the other half of his contract.

Moving the other way is Elio De Silvestro, with both clubs agreeing a co-ownership deal for the young winger.

On a serious note, what is it with Italian clubs and co-ownerships? They are truly an unnecessarily complicated way of doing business, and they often end up disadvantaging the big club in the end because the smaller club demands a huge transfer fee for the other half of the player if they turn out to be good.
