Lindegaard was crap, 2nd and 3rd goal should not go in...give me De Gea every day of the week.

You do know SAF is performing miracles keeping this squad, with the weakest mf for utd in a long time, consistently challenging for the title this past 2 seasons( winning one and losing the other in goal difference). Any other manager, and we would be a Arsenal...just content to push for a top 4 place.
SAF's weakness is his stubborness. His also very loyal to his players. He obviously doesn't want to invest in mf cuz he is reserving thnat place for Fletcher. And it's also a reason why he bloody annoyingly selects Giggs as a starter, when we all can see that Giggs is well past it now, sadly.
all we need is a Diaby or Toure type player, better luck with defensive injuries, and we would be bossing the league. Dembele would have been the perfect signing for us, on the cheap too. sigh.
SAF needs to open his eyes and address our horrible mf situation.

I would take Zenit's Axel Witsel, only 23, excellent technically, big and strong, belgian yaya toure

there are a lot of players who can fix out mf problem with a decent price. SAF just doesn't want to buy them yet. He's probably still having faith in ando, fletcher, and jones.

Good game for us. We probably could have scored more, but I understand the necessity of winning after a poor performance against Tottenham. De Gea had a solid game and saved us from embarrassment in the end. One thing I deplore is rotation of goalkeepers as it really does add more negatives than positives. Not only was he wrongly displaced by Lindegaard (for a goal conceded that was not his fault), but in every game he has played thus far this season, he has looked composed. Dictating his area does not look like a major problem any more, which is great to see, and now he knows to play until the whistle. In terms of defending: Rafael was solid, but our left back was, as per, a culprit. Sougou picking up a injury was the best thing that happened to us. His power and pace was too much for Evra. I do not know what has happened to his positional awareness, but what is more frustrating is his lethargic style that is so deeply embedded in his head that it is impossible to change his approach. The determination to win the ball back or get back into position is not even there.
I quite like the idea of a three-man midfield. Fletcher has adopted a new style, his days of a box-to-box role are over, but he has become more assured. Anderson continues to show why he is still at Manchester United, while Cleverley also continues in contributing with his energetic legs and his intelligent passing (doubt remains over his ability to create chances in the final third though). Van Persie was clinical and Rooney was our best player. He looks so much better playing just in front of Anderson and Cleverley. Assured in possession, neat touches, always looking for the ball, great work rate, and one hell of a right foot, surely this has to be the season where he gets over his issues regarding how inconsistent he can be.
Overall, a comfortable game for us, despite the horrible defending at the start. I would not make too many changes, apart from Carrick back into the side for Fletcher and Hernandez out for one of Kagawa or Nani.

That diamond formation proves how much United are lacking in creativity. Cluj were really shit and yet United couldn't create enough chances. I'd like to see Bebe given the chance to play because he was excellent in pre-season and he is the type of player who can penetrate defense.

HT. 0-2 MUFC.
We started on fire for the first 25 mins. Newcastle gaining momentum now. Rooney is playing fantastically, contributing in attack AND defence too. Brilliant so far. Plus we are not struggling in MF with this formation. Good tactics by SAF.
Very positive so far.

Re: Manchester United 2012/2013 Premier League Season (+ CC & FA Cup)
0-3 FT.
Absolutely immense. Wayne Rooney in this type of form is a joy to watch and without doubt, our best player. So important to our team. Since he has come back from injury in that 2nd half v spurs, we have looked a far more dangerous team.
Our defense was brilliant. De Gea, Evans and Rio...Rafael.. BUT a special mention to..........
wait for it.........
PATRICE EVRA
His best perfromance for United in 2 years. He was just magnificent today. I can't believe how good he was.
Well played...everyone was brilliant...bar welbeck tbh. He just looked completely devoid of anything he tried to do out there today. Really poor performance by him.
But everyone else... 0-3 away at SJP is very impressive. that was NewC's only 2nd defeat there this year.
Well played UNITED!!!
