I saw a video where he was playing football once. It's impossible he will ever be a top professional footballer, no matter how fast he is.

His acceleration isn't good enough anyway. Football is more about the first few steps than outright pace like 99% of the time.

In a straight line sure. But doing zig zag, footballers are faster than sprinters. In that "Sports Lab" show, Ronaldo beat a 100m sprinter in a zig zag race, and Ronaldo isn't Messi or some other more agile footballers.

Bolt's first few steps are generally pretty poor (relative), and his speed comes from his long strides and size. You simply can't run like that with a football.

Bolts first few steps are still insanely fast. And it would just take a different type of training to get that acceleration, ex power cleans, more anterior chain work etc. anyways I don't want to make this an exercise science discussion.
