In reality, Marca's problem is that it can no longer verify market whispers (usually from agents) with the club. I know 90% of it is bs because i know some of these agent types. Most players want to come to Madrid and most of the agents contact Madrid about it... but Madrid has to return the interest and then there are a million steps to overcome. Did Essien's agent contact Madrid? Absolutely 100% true. He wouldn't be doing his job if he hadn't. But that's as far as it's gone.

I don't know where you are getting your negative impression of Aquero. I like Higgy a lot, but to say he is world best is an exaggeration. Kun plus Higgy is a much better combination for us tha Benz and Higgy.

As I said in general section, "critical thinking" is key at this time of year, TMO.

I would take Essien over Alonso but it'll never happen.

I doubt he would ever consider moving to Man City. Real Madrid is a dream for him and Man City are Man Utd's rivals.

Yeah and it wouldn't be that much more cash for him personally, the taxes are higher in England. If it's about money he's better off doing more sponsor deals like Becks did. And obviously Madrid>City in terms of sponsor options because of our worldwide reach. This is all strictly financially speaking by the way.
