If he did sign, it would be interesting to see how Chelsea under RDM perform (with Hazard and Mata and all included) and how Spuds under AVB would perform.

While it may be too early to call the odds, the end of season positions would make an interesting read this time next season, one way or the other. Very Happy

Van der Vaart hasn't looked like he wants to leave and no rumours either... Modric looked like he was going to Manchester United though nothing has happened, apparently Madrid are interested in him... Bale has renewed a new contract apparently or going to. If they need anyone new up attack its Adebayor. He has proven, he wants to stay there and well, he is a decent striker...

I could throw similar type statements at Mancini in his first season (they had nearly identical records) and now look, Man City are Champs.

if AVB had that much money to spend at Chelsea he probably wouldve had a good crack at the league, but at the time Roman was keeping his purse shut and the only players we could sing were Merelis, Romeu and Courtis where Mancini got to bring in Balotelli, Aguero, Silva etc

Yes he did, but he claimed the older players had "won a lot of trophies so they deserved their chance".

Seriously, can you think of ANY Chelsea manager in the Roman era that has been denied money to spend?

I honestly have nothing against him simply because of his part in this season. Without him we wouldn't have won the CL IMO.

for that, I cannot hate his decision, it is for the best.
