Re: Group D: England vs Ukraine discussion
If they let play continue, goal should be counted. I mean England could have scored on the counter and Ukraine player had to take a yellow. There is no butterfly effect rule in football. England cheated today.

Nah, I'm not butthurt, just love the hypocrisy when ever it hits. So when England cheats it's ok, when RvP kicks, slaps, wastes time and acts like cnut he doesn't deserve to be sent of for it?aleumdance wrote:The butthurt when England gets a result

Re: Group D: England vs Ukraine discussion
No moral high ground for ukraine, the linesman was like an extra player for them at times, that "goal" wasnt the only time he didnt call offside on them when he should have. Also shevchenko could easily have had a red card
england looking like they might do a chelsea

Look at this way: if that goal stood, England would be rightfully upset because the player should have been given offside in the build-up. Ukraine might be upset the goal wasn't given, but if the correct decisions was actually made, the play would never have made it that far.
So whether there was an injustice against Ukraine really is a moot point.
An offside is way more harder to call than a goal, especially when an overlapping run is being made...
especially when the 5th official is right there...
The way to look at it is this...
Euro is all about the money...
They want more television viewers & seeing that the quarter finals matches are already sold out...England had to go through even though it was a clear goal just like how if Croatia had beaten Spain yesterday, Italy & Croatia would go through...so the clear penalty on Mandzukic from Ramos was not given...
sound corrupted doesn't it?

Well, I agree you on there. I just wanted to cry for Ukraine, because nobody else was doing it.aleumdance wrote:jiopsi wrote:Nah, I'm not butthurt, just love the hypocrisy when ever it hits. It's not really a matter of how difficult one decision in comparison to the other. Any international linesman should be able to call that offside, just like how any decent referee should be able to see that the ball crossed the line.
I can't really take any claim of corruption seriously, either. Was the missed offside call all part of the UEFA master plan, too?

It was an overlapping run...
When players do that, when the ball is played, it is difficult sometimes for the lines man to determine who was off-side & in most cases, the call will go to the attacking team...
