There's no way England can lose this one, can they? Ukraine are not really that good.
Sweden is probably the tougher match for England. Happy for the Three Lions.
It's coming home etc

Ukraine is a worse version of England in the way they play.

England either
The individual talents such as Grealish, Kane, Sterling should make difference, and i expect England in final, but it be also 0% surprising if they crash out to humble and hard-working ukrainians

Re: EURO 2020 - QF : England Vs Ukraine
It's England's first (and only) game away from Wembley, so there's that.
I hope Southgate doesn't use the Germany result as a reason to stick with the 3-4-3. It was fine in that one game where we had a specific gameplan for the opposition, but against Ukraine we really won't need the extra defender.
The attack that started vs the Czech Republic should be good. So Kane with Saka, Grealish and Sterling behind him. It's tough on Foden, Mount and Sancho but I think Saka and Grealish have played their way into the starting line-up.
Only other areas of concern are right back (Walker or James?) and central midfield. Rice and Phillips picked up yellows against Germany and it looked like Rice had bad cramp at the end vs Germany, so maybe it's time for Henderson to start.
At this point, I've accepted a low scoring game with few chances and a lot of dull moments. Better that then crashing out.

Sheva is miles better than Southgate but the individual quality of England will be too much for Ukraine.
England have quite an easy path to the finals now.

Yeah this Ukraine isn't even on a Switzerland level so I too am predicting England will advance here. May be hard fought at best and landslide victory at worse.

Surprised no one has mentioned England have not conceded goal in the last 4-5 games.
Last goal they conceded was one goal in their 2-1 victory against Poland.
Putting it down here.
This is England's year to win their first ever Euro. Marked.

Yeah it's a strong show at this point. To the point of keeping even Germany at 0 tho you could fault Muller for that 1v1 that he could've converted. But it's also no fluke that England haven't recieved a goal against yet. They have an excellent chance to take it.

Re: EURO 2020 - QF : England Vs Ukraine
Credits to their defense, yes
But i must say, after 4 games and the opponents they faced, not conceding is not that big of an exploit. Against the remains of Germany i can applaud but in group stage, i don't remember them ever being in trouble. But then i remember falling asleep during one match maybe they were a brick wall and i missed it.
Some of it is due to their collective system, and some is due to opponents being very dull. All this to say i don't consider England a top class defense over what i saw in Euro. They have done their job.

Will English media 'discover' Malinovskyi like they discovered Zlatan back in 2013?

How is England beating Germany and losing to an Underdog vintage England at all? We never beat the good teams lol.
If anything beating Ukraine and losing to Germany would be vintage England lol.
Not saying we'll win but this idea that it would be vintage England just isn't true at all.

Re: EURO 2020 - QF : England Vs Ukraine
Ukraine is unironically a better collective team as a whole than Germany who basically had no gameplan but England will be galvanised but what is a historic victory and one that will give them confidence.
England is my prediction for the Euro win but Ive absolutely no doubt on their path to the final at least.
Ukraine have little quality as whatever they had earlier in the last decade, is mostly past their prime.

Considering Germany isn't that good, I think you're still keeping up with that tradition imo.

I am worried whether England will get bullied all over the pitch. They need to keep calm and use quality instead of running around too much or trying to be aggressive.

Re: EURO 2020 - QF : England Vs Ukraine
Looks like Gareth is going back to 4-3-3 with Mount and Sancho coming in. This might be a good match to start Henderson in honestly but he might just keep Rice-Phillips again.
-----------------Pickford--------------------
Walker-----Maguire---Stones-------Shaw
--------Mount-----Rice----Phillips---------
Sancho----------Kane-------------Sterling
Ukraine will be more difficult to beat than Germany. Better team. Can't take this lightly at all

I haven't followed every England match as closely but it feels like Southgate has been the coach to rotate his starting 11 the most. Can be very important at this stage when everyone is tired to be more fresh than the opponent.

Along with Luis Enrique. He has rotated the wingers, fullbacks, and Laporte's partner at center back. Not one match with the same starting 11 also
