Ziegler to stay in Turkey

Fenerbahce are close to signing Reto Ziegler from Juventus on a permanent basis, reports the Gazzetta dello Sport.

The left-back only joined the Old Lady last summer on a free transfer from Sampdoria, but he was almost instantly sent out on loan to the Turkish club.

Ziegler is not a part of boss Antonio Conte’s plans in Turin and Fenerbahce want him to remain with them for the 2012-13 campaign.

Juve value the 26-year-old at €5m, but there is also the possibility that a new loan deal could be agreed between the two sides.
