Yes and toward the end he tried and missed a stupid interception attempt that left his whole side open for a 3 vs 2 counter attack.

We had some bad defensive performance, but Evra was just horrible.

On the other hand, Giroud is a great joker.

Giroud is the key to park-the-bus tactics imo. Benz is great... but he's not a target. Also, Ribery plays like himself with a target.

I'd try a 4-2-2-2 with Ribery-Nasri supporting Giroud and Benz.

This is what Blanc wants as main strategy. The main problem here is that both Ribery and Ben Arfa have a big tendency to play for themselves and to not defend while Nasri will be the only one to provide creativity in the midfield. Menez is probably above Ben Arfa but has the same problems.

Blanc is filled with options, he has so many midfielders and attacking players he can use.

If Ben Arfa plays anything like he has for us in last few months i wouldnt worry about work rate as he works as hard as anyone for us always tracking back and helping out his fullback.

It's one of the things our manager as actually insisted upon for him to start and Ben Arfa has said in last couple of months that he actually enjoys defending now.

As long he takes that attitude he has for us to the Euros i wouldnt have any concerns.

Dont know about Ribery because i dont watch Bayern a great deal but Ben Arfa isnt the same player that was a lazy sod anymore you can trust him to work hard if his attitude and form is anything to go by.

I am a bit skeptical with ben Arfa due to his past. There are months where he plays great, looking like he will fullfill his potential and always he end up acting like a fool, screwing everything. It happened at Lyon numerous time and it happened at Marseille. We will se if he has matured but I am doubtful.

Well he is 25 now so it's now or never . i would use him as a super-sub though. could be deadly if he is used that way . I was happy to see...

Whether Ben Arfa has matured is debateable will have to wait a while to tell.

But one thing thats not up for debate atleast for me that his attitude and work rate has improved and i reckon he will start mainly because of his tremendous link up play with Benzema.

Also France are much better than England its not even close they will batter us.

In anycase after seeing Debuchy and Ben Arfa link up so well on the right i will be greatly disappointed if we dont sign him now although it probably is unlikely because any other signing will be considerably worse Sad

Actually DNA, Mbiwa is coming on strong too. Sakho may make a strong come back as well (he sucked this year lol). You also have Mangala at Porto, Koscielny and Isimat-Mirin at Valenciennes.

Competition for CB is going to be insane after Euros. A lot of prospects.
