It is far from a done deal. All this is just Agent talks,nothing concrete from the player. Giroud hasnt made a decision about his future yet . Not just him but the transfers of almost all the players whom are in Euro has frozen.

The BBC disagrees with you, adit. They don't post news unless it is accurate and they don't write news about rumours or agent talk. Just about every other reliable source you can think of have the same story: just the formalities left, which are likely to be completed after the Euros.

This is hardly agent talk.

Wenger didn't comment.... but he was very smug when asked about Giroud and Arsenal. I got the distinct feeling he was pleased.

He was a commentator for TF1 during Netherlands/Germany.

If we bought Giroud I see us only getting either an AM or DM, not both. It'll probably be a DM as well. Dont think we'd buy another AM without selling someone like Rosicky, Arteta, Ramsey, Lansbury, somebody.

It looks as though this is going to get done. I just hope there are no last minute snags that cause it to fall through. Arsenal can use a big, strong, bullish yet skilled guy like Giroud in front of the goal. Thumbs up

Supposedly Giroud would play up front with Van Persie and Podolski. RVP could play just behind Giroud and would probably be quite happy to do it.

An absolutely stellar signing for Arsenal. Giroud is a terrific striker who will immediately fit into Wenger's plans as I see it.

The price that acquired Oliver also is a bargain in my opinion as here is a man who was the star player of a minnow team winning the Ligue 1 against their French giants.

Very happy for Arsenal as I also hope that RvP stays.

I also am confident that Giroud won't be another Chamakh. I can assure you all that.

not if our one scorer RVP leaves, then we have no Attack.... which is looking likely.

So Giroud and Podolski are great additions

and if RVP doesn't leave we can solve our mid creativity problem by playing him as SS

and having two defensive/Tempo Dictating behind him
