Those stats were based on a full season Hala, it's based on his stats for Newcastle and Freiburg.

Not yet mate but put it this way, he's closer than any other striker we've been officially after and rumours of him getting a medical today or tomorrow are heating up.

Only reason Messi didnt win is because he won too many times in a row, he is therefore now judged on a different standard than everyone else; he has to win all the big trophies as well as record goals for everyone to think he had a good season.

As for ronaldo, laliga isnt enough tbh. early EURO antics dont help either plus the fact that his all-round play hasn't improved since he won these awards. He needs to evolve, continue scoring goals but have another dimension to his play ffs!!

Could you imagine what would happen if this forum was around back when Zidane won over Ronaldo and Henry.

People are short sighted , they overrate stats to no end because it's an easy measurement they don't have watch , analyse and study games.

Iniesta is an amazing player, 2nd best player in the world for me, he might not deserve this particular award trhis year but don't use something as elementary as stats to *bleep* discredit it.

Freiburg ended 12th of the BL last season. They were sort of a surprise team as everybody expected them to go straight down to the 2nd BL.

BTW, while Cissé still played for them, Freiburg was last of the table with only 13 points. After Cissé left they started an amazing run to get to midtable heights.

Thing is Le Sam, Iniesta wasn't even that good during the season.

He was injured a lot and just didn't perform....

It's nothing to do with stats it's to do with the fact Iniesta just didn't perform.

And league seasons are being completed ignored ( once again) because the player in question was very good at the Euros.

Also Hala when he was at Freiburg they was in the Bundesliga, not sure about now.
