1. He has been at City since 2010. All the fans (and Mancini) have seen him enough to know what he's about.

2. Since his injury, he can't beat a player like last year or before. He's not as explosive. However, AJ can destroy tired teams when he comes on as a 75th minute sub. Perfect player to close matches, actually.

3. When he gets a run of games, he always disappoints. However, he may score a good goal to paper over the cracks of his overall performance.

Johnson started 24 games last season last season from 31 appearences despite being injured for more than a month ( just league btw)

He had an opportunity to prove he's consistent he just is'nt good enough....

Flashy players that has never at any stage proven he's anything other than a MOTD player who looks good on highlight shows i would'nt want him and iam serious.

Also Valencia has always been consistent he just gets more hype now because he does it for an elite club.

Johnson has never proved this at any stage in his whole career, the inconsistency's because he doesnt start is a poor excuse because he has always been inconsistent and this year has been the first time in his entire career he has'nt had consistent game time.

1. His time at Riverside begs to differ. Honestly, how the hell can a player show his true worth in a couple of fringe minutes.

Johnson has started enough games for us to see that he isn't consistant enough.

I do disagree with the Newcastle fan that he isn't top 6 material. He is, but for another team. Not us.

He has scored some really, really good goals though.
