Mourinho: Real Madrid will win the Champions League in a year or two
Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has no doubt that the club will win the Champions League by 2014.
Madrid have been eliminated at the semi-final stage twice under Mourinho, but the Portuguese coach has set his sights on clinching the continental title, which Los Blancos last won in 2002.
"I have been blessed by God with the Champions League despite having lost some semi-finals," he said according to AS.
"I have won two. Some of these players have never done it and Real Madrid are looking to win their 10th trophy of this kind.
"But we are not obsessed: if we continue to do things the way we have been after reaching two semi-finals, the title will come in a year or two.
"Obsession does not help, but the dream does."
The focus for most players and coaches is now on the European Championship in Poland and Ukraine, but Mourinho revealed that he is already preparing for the new season.
"We will end celebrations today, the players will think about Euro 2012 and I will start thinking about the next season, because you cannot rest on your laurels when you are at Madrid.
"You always have to think about the future."

Re: Mourinho: Real Madrid will win the Champions League in a year or two
I could see them winning it in a year or two with the backing they have financially and the coaching etc. Plus they have a nice squad.
But I will say this just like I have in the past, if Mou does not rein in himself, Pepe and Ramos then I just don't see it happening.
Not to mention he needs CR7 to play team defense as that has been the key to all his CL's is his team functioning as a unit in defense and offense hence turning Eto'o into a defender when the going got tuff when they won it with Inter. People forget Eto'o was very selfish as well while with Barca and obsessed with his goal totals and I was stunned Mou was able to do that with him. (BTW being selfish is what has driven CR7 and Eto'o to being the players they are so it's not a bad thing in a way but when CR7 isn't scoring or there in a tight game he needs to play team defense as well too and now quite frankly he just doesn't and Messi wasn't as good as he normally is this year either.)
But then you have to ask yourself if they couldn't win it this year when will they with this squad? They had the easiest draw I've ever seen plus they would have faced Chelsea in the finals not Barca. Again I never blamed them for the draw they got as that's justs how the cookie crumbles sometimes but this team will never have an easier run at it. It set up perfectly for them this year as they really only played one difficult team and got bounced.
So yes I could see them wining it but I think they need to get Pepe out of the equation as he is a hot head plus way overrated as a defender where as Ramos IMO is a brilliant defender but needs to keep his cool.
But then again this group of player against elite teams just has a way of imploding when the going gets tuff so I would say with the current squad it's 50/50 at best. If they buy some more players and fix some holes all bets are off they could be the favorites.

Re: Mourinho: Real Madrid will win the Champions League in a year or two
It's the tactics. Against Bayern we could of won, however Mourinho decided to sit back and take the 1-1 draw in the first leg. It's a good idea, however our defending isn't all that good against teams that play possession football imo.
We just need to play a higher line and tactically press more, not aggressively.

Re: Mourinho: Real Madrid will win the Champions League in a year or two
With this current squad, Madrid will not win it, Marcelo, Ramos, the current CR7 and higgzwain and Di Maria. That's a terrible group of arbitrary players put together.
Madrid doesnt play with a system which is fine but then they need the brand of players that can finish the game, like CR7 but not only him, another player, and no its not Ozil, and Higuain. Madrid needs a Hazard, or a Neymar, someone dangerous.

Not only tactics, we respected Bayern alot. You should not under-estimate other clubs but never respect them. Go for the kill, that's the Barca way.

you said that without kaka, we would win nothing, never beat barca.
you said that without lass we couldnt win anything
you started hating on ozil when he was struggling, then backed off when he beasted
you started hating on Di Maria because he had thighs issues
when you came on the forum, you were hating on higuain and benzema both, now you are hoping benzema's d*ck
you hated on casillas, then he showed up vs bayern and barca and proved what a beast he is.
at the end, we won la liga with a 100 and 121, so stfu and find a new team to spew your garbage about.
or maybe you are good luck charm
