Football Club Rankings 4-30-12 ยป
Football Club Rankings 5-7-12
BY SOCCERRANKINGS, ON MAY 7TH, 2012
The Premier League remains the only major league yet to be decided. Real Madrid and Juventus officially clinched their trophies this week. With only a couple of weeks left the question remains, who will finish the season ranked #1?
Just Missed: Montpellier, Porto, Schalke 04, AC Milan
10. PSG
The Ligue 1 title race is far from over with two games remaining. Any slip-up by Montpellier could see the Paris side snatch the title. (nr)
9. Ajax
Ajax players can book their off season trips, as they finish the season as Eredivise Champions. (9-4)
8. Manchester United
What happens after Sunday if United are not Champions? The biggest club in the world, could be second fiddle in their own city. (8-34)
7. Dortmund
Dortmund are relishing the chance to beat Bayern once again for another trophy. (7-11)
6. Manchester City
All they have to do is win and the Premeir League title will move to the blue side of Manchester. It could be quite a scene as it will be City’s first league title since 1968. (6-35)
5. Barcelona
Barcelona will have to wait until May 25th and the Copa Del Ray for their chance at a consolation trophy. (5-35)
4. Chelsea
Chelsea have now captured their 7th FA Cup, will their first European Cup soon follow? (4-6)
3. Juventus
Juventus get a Scudetto bounce and move to 3rd. With one more Serie A game left, will they go all out to stay undefeated? If they can accomplish that, and win the Coppa Italia on the 20th, they certainly have a good case to be ranked higher. (4-24)
:king:
2. Real Madrid
Real will try to finish La Liga with 100pts with a win against Mallorca this Saturday. There is also hope Madrid will be able to finish the year ranked #1. (2-35)
1. Bayern Munich
The Bundesliga is officially on the books, and Bayern get one more chance at Dortmund Saturday in the finals of the German Cup. (3-35-2)
Match of the Upcoming Week: 5/13 – #6 Man City v. QPR
