I think Ben Arfa would be a splendid signing for Adelante when Castilla get promoted.

Re: Hatem Ben Arfa
I have my difficulties with Di Maria and his lack of a brain, and I hate crosses more than anyone.....but Di Maria is better than Reus and Ben Arfa.
The guy is lethal with that splitting through, and he's a good crosser (what's the point of that with Benzema in the box? I'm not sure...)...great dribbler , great defensive workrate etc.Great close control.
He just needs to pick his moments and if he's going to play on the right he needs an attacking fullback to make runs and space the defense for him.He gets trapped because there's no spacing for him when he cuts inside , he has to go back, try a miracle ball or go back outside where he almost always gets trapped again for lack of a right foot.
Can you imagine the damage Di maria would do if a fullback had to commit to Arbeloa instead of him....
2 defenders vs Ronaldo and Higuainmaking runs in the box......those through ball attempts that get cut out purely because of congestion become goals.
Ben Arfa dosen't have that, Reus dosen't have that....never will.

Re: Hatem Ben Arfa
Too much disrespect on Ben Arfa in this thread for my liking......
You just described what Pardew has turned Ben Arfa into in that sentence Josh
He has basically been turned into Jonas with ridiculous skill, pace and creativity.... he works his bollocks off.
Just look at his heat map on ESPN if you dont believe me......
Just because SuperMAG makes himself look a complete joke, dont mean you should laugh at Ben Arfa and bring him down as a player.....
If anything he's more talented than Di Maria and has alot more to offer but fact is he has'nt proven sh*t or performed consistently until the last 3 months.
Where as Di Maria has been GOATing from a young age.
Ben Arfa had the chance to play for an Elite club when he was young but alas he could'nt mature or prove it consistently fast enough.
Lets not act like he's some scrub but its too late for him now due to circumstances but the way some of you are talking is like he's a talentless hack in the ilk of Emile Heskey

Re: Hatem Ben Arfa
mole, lets wait for Ben Arfa to have a full season at that level before we talk about him like a goat.
for now, what i see is a kid getting it together for the Euros.

Of course didnt i say that? he has'nt proven f*ck all so far.......( although we wouldnt be where we are without his recent performances)
I never called him a goat i just disagreed the notion thats going around this thread that he seems to be a scrub......he's far from that.
Plus i disagree he's getting it together for the euros..... he started performing because he was given consistent game time......
May i remind you this is the first time in his whole career he has started more than 6 games in a row.....
Surely consistent game time will help him no? earlier in the season he would play 2 games and get dropped its impossible to show consistent with that little amount of game time allowed doesnt matter how good you are.

Re: Hatem Ben Arfa
@Mtfootball, I agree Di maria would be an amazing impact sub. Better suited for that role than starter at the moment.
@Mole...I just said Di Maria has that I didn't say Ben Arfa dosen't have it...(although as far as work rate goes there are very few people with the Lungs to compare with Di Maria)
I actually think he's a better dribbler than Di maria but the important detail is that Di Maria's vision and instinct for a through ball is just different.I think it just might be better than Ozil's and that's saying something.
He reminds me of Guti sometimes in that regard.

Re: Hatem Ben Arfa
Sometimes Di Maria's vision and passing can be consider one of the best in the world. But it's way to inconsistent.
Like the fact that odds are he can never get in a good/decent cross against opponents of higher caliber.
As for Ben Arfa. I don't watch him nor do I have a say on him. Aside from I hear he's doing very well at Newcastle so far.

i made myself joke by suggesting player people think he is shit yet you think not but still think i am wrong. :vagi:
Le Samourai wrote:I have my difficulties with Di Maria and his lack of a brain, and I hate crosses more than anyone.....but Di Maria is better than Reus and Ben Arfa.
You seem to not see what you write, Lack of brain is the key word, otherwise we have teo walcot like situation.
The guy is lethal with that splitting through, and he's a good crosser (what's the point of that with Benzema in the box? I'm not sure...)...great dribbler , great defensive workrate etc.Great close control.
I already mentioned he is a good crosser, but great dribbler, really, he is inconsistent as hell in dribbling, its a 50/50 against average defenders, no way he is great dribber, go check the stats, great defensive work, i agree, great close control, seriously do you know any difference between close control and first touch, di maria has quite erratic control over the ball, mostly due to his lack of right foot combined with him playing at right side, at left he can protect the ball like he is used to but at right side he is as clueless as it gets, one of the reasons he *bleep* all our attacks.
LMOH, seriously, are u frekin serious, is that your excuse, i have nothing to say, now i will just suffer.
Can you imagine the damage Di maria would do if a fullback had to commit to Arbeloa instead of him....
i have been imaging that for the bast 2 years lol.

You do know that its fullbacks job to supply crosses.
Ben Arfa dosen't have that, Reus dosen't have that....never will.
