Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich(Clash of the Titans)

Not to blow our own trumpets or anything, but I think we just in general deserve the 'Classy in defeat' award. Despite the crushing, arbitrary nature of the loss, I dont think I saw one butthurt Madridista or one fan insulting Bayern.

For those still unaware, Bayern Munich's coach Jupp Heynckes was infamously sacked by Real Madrid despite winning the Champions League trophy. Regardless of their league performance in that season, it remains one of the most ridiculous dismissal of all time in football history.

Jupp was sacked because his league campaign was a disaster. He had completely lost the dressing room and Redondo and Hierro were effectively coaching the team towards the end of the year.

We didn't win the CL because of Jupp, we won it despite Jupp. I still like Jupp though he was a nice guy but even if you ask him he'll tell you that the decision made sense.

Anyway it's not like we missed him, we went on to win two more CL's and three league titles.

To be honest there was literally nothing you could accuse Bayern for even if you wanted to

I don't understand what exactly Mourinho can be proud of.
He is leading the most expensive team in the history of football with the most expensive bench and he still couldn't beat any big team in the CL. Last season they defeated the finished Lyon and ten men Tottenham and this year they were lucky with the draw and yet lost against first serious opponent they met. IMO Bayern were the better team in both legs. Any manager out there could beat CSKA, APOEL or Lyon/Tottenham with what he had. Pellegrini had impressive record with the team and just imagine other manager who lose the majority of games with Barca, conceding three defeats at Bernabeu and manita at Camp Nou and parking the bus at most times there. He'll win La Liga, credit for this, but considering the native drop of form, injuries and tiredness in Barca and their decreased motivation after winning 13 trophies or so for these 3 years, I don't see nothing impressive at all. Pellegrini or any other solid manager could have done the same.

Forgotten behind the well fought and well deserved victory and horrible Ramos pen...Lahm's penalty was one of the worst I seen that hit the target.

Very slow, nowhere near the corner...just terrible.

And I also noticed it was Schweinsteiger before the pens getting everyone up for it.

Not a knock on Lahm, but something I noticed.

Lahm has always lacked leadership on the pitch. Normally Schweinsteiger is the true captain, even though he doesn't wear the armband. Heck, even Badstuber shows more leadership than Lahm, which is why Stubsi is considered the chief of defense and not Lahm.

We had to beat Napoli,Villareal,ManCity,Basel,Marseille and Real to reach the final.

Has there ever been such a difficult way to the final ? Please post if you know.
