Roberto Di Matteo as assistant first team coach.

Villas-Boas also brings with him to Stamford Bridge Jose Mario Rocha, a 48-year-old fitness expert who worked alongside the new manager at both his previous clubs, Porto and Academica.

Another new face will be Daniel Sousa, who will become head opposition scout, the role previously occupied by Villas-Boas in his first spell at the club between 2004 and 2007. Sousa also worked alongside Villas-Boas at each of his former clubs.
Following the success of last season's reserve side, who became national champions, reserve coach Steve Holland will also step up to work with the senior squad, becoming an assistant first team coach, while Christophe Lollichon continues as goalkeeping coach.

Great move! He managed to bring a championship club to the premier league. That just proves that he is good enough for that post.

TBh, there are only two men I'd rather have, Zola or Wilkins. Zola is too good to be an assistant and Wilkins aint coming back.

While he has managed before it wasn't for long, IMO it would be good for his career as he'll get CL experience and will get a different manager's mentality.

Anyone else has a feeling that David Luiz could be in danger of losing his starting place since he was embarrassed by AVB team when in Benfica.

that was like his only really bad performance for benfica,and he was playing as a LB..and he had to face no one else other than hulk.Hulk would fry almost any left back

David Luiz lost his starting place under Carlo in the last few games tbh. After he did a very small mistake against United. But I'm sure that he is the first option now... and Alex is consistently being linked with moving away.

But the really interesting part of the press conference came when he was asked whether certain players would be 'untouchable' in his squad. Check out the answer:

Untouchable is a person who continuously performs at a high level. Based on the trophies these players have won before and the success they have had, aren't these the players you want in the end? Could be, no?

As long as people are able to perform in training and the expectations of the fans and to a level of performance that is high and enables them to be in the starting 11 continuously I don't see why it shouldn't happen.

The most important thing for a leader is to be coherent in the decisions that he takes and it's a principle I cannot let go. As long as people are able to perform to the highest level as top players, which they are, and the past also shows, then I have no problem with that.
