If Barcelona scored a goal like that (against Real), I wouldn't blame the ref (as it isn't offside). I would be absolutely upset with the defender (mostly Ramos) for not clearing the damn ball.

I must wonder what Puyol was really thinking when he decided to control a ball within the 6 yard box...

He was expecting Valdes to take control of the ball. He was not trying to dribble his way out or anything. It was an error of communication.

Valdez has been a little shabby with his corner interceptions recently, blame should go to Valdez first and foremost

Adriano's foot is at the start of the white line while Khedira's is in the middle/end, therefore he's offside.

Adriano is in the air so from this angel you cannot see it, but from a different camera you could clearly see Adriano's foot in front of anyone

Re: El Clasico - Barcelona vs Real Madrid discussion
Not read everyone's opinion....but Im pretty saddened by this loss, because we couldnt say Real didnt deserve it. We clearly are less clinical atm and this problem came up again. Whats more, we were surprisingly not at our best, or not able to up our game more, almost like we were out of ideas and looked a bit tired, which was really strange.
It probably is teams are figuring out more and more how to counter us, but this was always going to happen.....
Positive side, the 2 goals conceded 1 were set piece, 1 was a good counter. But both goals Valdes should have done better. First goal he came out then retreated and only palmed the ball to Puyol and he hesitated. Second Macherano paused and just got beaten by pace. Valdes came out way too soon and only made it easy for Ronaldo. Our goal was great thought but how quickly Ronaldo scored killed it...
A few things going forward. Tello only good some games, he clearly isnt ready for such top oppositions or games. Macherano and Puyol have done great, but lately the former has been a bit poor, I hope Pique plays soon. Pep didnt do enough with subs this game, I would have wanted to see Pedro or Cuenca in. Alves struggled to create, and u can see the effect Sanchez had when he came on.... not sure about Thiago, he was good, but we probably needed Cesc a bit more when chasing the game.... but Pep were never geart at subs during games.....
Not end of an era.... a lot riding on the Chelsea game now, if we win that and win the CL its all good....otherwise...it would be very disappointing..... no end of era talk though.... as sad as it is, we cant win everything!

Re: El Clasico - Barcelona vs Real Madrid discussion
More over, I dont think we should be too harsh on Barca, but definitely there are things during games which we can do better. Pep with the subs have never been his strength, eg. Tello not coming off for Pedro or Cuenca all game was just not right....
Chelsea and Real both played well defensively in that they made it hard for us to penetrate. On the wings they stays narrow or dbl up blocking the cutting in and passing especially and compacted the middle, having not the usual 2 lines of 4 or so we seevs many temas, but they had man between the lines which were a big obvious factor we couldnt play 1-2s successfully in our usual game and I would have liked to see more movement and runs like Cesc does but we just didnt do enough of that, partly becos they blocked it when we tried...
Our record has been great vs them, I guess it was time we had a loss at home vs them....

Lol reading through the replies so many laughs...
Have to say, Ronaldo took his goal well and played a good game, but his rolling on the floor in agonising pain, that was Drogba level.....Pep and Ronaldo shot by bullet, they should be the gunshot victims in John Woo movies
:lol!: :lol!: :lol!:
YES. Valdes mistakes are expected though.
:lol!:
Finally the offisde was by Khedira's toe! It should have been a 1-1 draw!!!

Disgusting diving and playacting by Ronaldo, Ramos, Pepe etc. shameful stuff, none from Barca though, we kept it clean.

BarcaLearning: I have to say that you just changed my mind about you. I had you clumped together on my "trollol fanboys" list with LM, jiopsi and billionmillion.
You're officially of the list and on the "respectable and sensible Barca fans"-list.
